I'm guessing because of this. Same price as Amazon at $400.

how much are you willing to spend?
this is a fairly common style of watch.
there are a few Seiko 5's that fit the bill (dial wise)
SASRB035
SXNS73 is similar
though, this is the first one that popped into my head but its $1800. but its the most accurate...or should I say, this is the watch Vincero was trying to mimic IMO.
Most really rugged watches will be durable, like a Casio G-Shock. The Casio DW-5600 is excellent for that. I'll make a list of some other options!
Dressy-
Orient Bambino ~$130-$200
Seiko SARB035 ~$400
Citizen Eco-Drive AW1236-03A ~$100
Rugged-
Cadio G-Shock DW-5600 ~$50
Casio G-Shock GA100A-7A ~$70
Victorinox 241675 ~$150
Digital-
Casio F91W ~$10
Casio "World Time" ~$25
Timex Marathon ~$15-$20
Entry Level Mechanical-
Seiko SNK809 ~$60-$75
Orient Mako II ~$150
Invicta Pro-Diver (Submariner Homage) ~$80
Fantastic Quartz-
Timex Weekender ~$20-$30
Timex Expedition ~$50
Casio "Duro" MDV-106 ~$45
This Hamilton Jazzmaster looks right up your alley, except it's a Swiss quartz and not an automatic. It would keep fantastic time though.
I think this Seiko SARB035 is your best option. It has a fantastic 6R15 movement, is a complete in-house design, and uses elements from the considerably more expensive Grand Seiko collection. For $350, I don't think there's a better watch available than this one.
With that kind of budget you've got a lot of options!
Some qualifying questions, though for more specific recommendations: Automatic, Mechanical, or Quartz (or do you care)? General dress (suit, business casual, etc..)? Wrist size?
Some off the cuff ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) suggestions:
Tissot Visodate
Orient Bambino
Junkers Bauhaus
Seiko Cocktail Time This one is flashier than it sounds like you want but Jesus Christ is it beautiful..

Just to name a few!
Seiko Sarb033 or Sarb035

They're all leather bands, but you can swap in a bracelet for like $50-$80. If you don't want to do that, you can get this one. or this Orient.
I've been waivering back and forth between 033 and 035 (Black or White). The only thing that keeps me from picking the 035 is that it looks cream colored, and the date window looks white. Do you not notice this in person? In the product pic on Amazon it's really noticeable. Let me know!
I love the leather band on it, usually I prefer bracelets, but this is awesome.
I've decided to purchase the Seiko SARB035. A few questions:
Thanks.
I don't know why, but when I see Tissot, I always feel like they are too pricey for what they are. I am guessing that is why I tend toward Japanese watchmakers over Swiss.
When I saw the Le Locle I thought of this Citizen NH8350, but that is way under your price range.
The Heritage Visodate, reminds me of a number of Seiko watches, but the SARB035, which is an amazing watch.
I have no real sense on chronographs.
Have you looked at the Seiko SARB035? You could easily swap out the bracelet for leather.
If you like that type of style, then I'd recommend the Orient Bambino. I've heard a lot of good things about it, and it's very popular among watch lovers. Honestly I'd steer clear of brands you've never heard of like Burei. Generally when you want a cheap watch under 3-400, you're best going with Seiko, Citizen, and Orient as they're tried and tested brands with a good reputation. Another great option at $300 is the Seiko SARB035 or SARB033 (white or black dial respectively). The SARB line is very well respected at that price range, you'd have a hard time doing better than that IMO.
Edit: Google SARB035 on leather to see how nice it looks.
If you're able to stretch the budget by $50-60, I highly recommend the Seiko SARB035. You should be able to pick up a good leather strap for less than $50.
Not such a stretch after all at $340
Edit: Or $325.
I know it's a bit over budget but I can't help but recommend the Seiko Sarb035. It's a legendary watch and seems like it would be a great fit.
This one? that looks a lot more faded cream than white to me.
To be frank, it looks like something my grandfather wore. Doesn't exactly have the clean aesthetic I was really going for.
The black however does look quite nice. But again, looks more like a dress watch than it does something closer to a bauhaus type design.
Thank you for the input. I do appreciate it. :)
The 035, unlike the 033, can be bought new from Amazon for less than $400.

Tissot makes a few watches that are similar albeit more basicl.
The Luxury powermatic lacks the chronograph http://www.jomashop.com/tissot-watch-t0864071603100.html
They also make a quartz watch that looks similar

A Swiss automatic watch with those features will exceed your budget, unless you get lucky and find a vintage watch.
The Seiko premiere a quartz mechanical hybrid may interest you.

edit another seiko you may like the SARB035 http://www.amazon.com/Seiko-MECHANICAL-SARB035-Wrist-Watch/dp/B001AE9XS0/ref=sr_1_3?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1408794723&sr=1-3&keywords=seiko+sarb033
If I was in your situation these are the watches I would buy:
Diver: Steinhart Ocean 1 black (~$430) and then a decent rubber strap is around $50-70 more
Dress : Seiko sarb033/sarb035 (~$340) and then a leather strap $20-50. Also note this watch is very versatile and can also be used as a day to day watch.
That'll put you around $900 for 2 very nice watches.
