Off the top of my head,

Cheap: MEE Audio Air-Fi Matrix 2, $59, aptX support for far better Bluetooth listening than non aptX cans

Not so cheap but quality: Sennheiser Urbanite XL Wireless, usually $200 but showing as $300 right now? Also supports aptX.

There lots of brands that offer good Bluetooth cans. ATH, Vmoda, sennheiser, AKG, etc.

Now, Bose does have some models that are decent, like the QC35, but they're the exception now a days. It's a real bummer too, I used to buy a ton of Bose stuff. And too bad the market is pretty saturated with mostly fashion cans for Bluetooth. You pay a lot for being pretty.

Could you try to repair it by yourself with some epoxy resin or something?

Otherwise for 200 dollars I'm sure you could find some better wireless headphones. The Sennheiser Urbanite XL Wireless come around 210 dollars on amazon.

IEMs are more what you're looking for so some Jaybird X2s would be good for that.

Also, rule 1

If you need over-ear headphones then perhaps some Urbanites, though I'd be a little worried that they won't stay on your head.

I have both the Sennheiser Urbanite On Ear and the Urbanite XL Wireless Bluetooth and I listen to basically the same music as you. Their performance is fantastic, the bass is solid, and they are really comfortable. They're good for both indoor and outdoor use, but neither are active noise-cancelling; they're passive but work well.

Jaybird X3

MEE Audio Matrix 2

If you can stretch the budget another $80-ish then:

Sennheiser Urbanite XL

It's hard with wireless headphones because there just aren't many with good sound quality or many in general.

These are the urbanite for 79.95 bux. I highly recommend as I've been using them for a couple of months and I'm in love with them

Would love some help here. After going for what seems like weeeeeks coming up with a decision I've narrowed it down to 2 (with a surprise 3rd one!). My ears are very big and stick out so comfort is absolute priority for me. I had to return headphones for being waaay to uncomfortable.

EDIT: I also wear glasses.

This would basically be for my phone for streaming music, playing music or my computer watching videos. Looking for something sturdy.

Pros:

  • Wireless with optional wire which I like.

  • Ability to link to 2 devices via blue tooth.

  • Huge Battery life.

  • is wired/wireless

    Cons:

  • I was actually able to test it in person (mic was broken so I was only able to test comfort). It fits my dumbo ears pretty nicely.

  • Cheaper price than the alternative

  • Supposedly has a nice, easy to use app. Though I'm not sure if I'd use it much.

    Cons:

  • Unable to test sound quality

  • not sure if I can stick a wire in it in case battery fails

The third option isn't wireless which is a big con but if sound quality and comfort levels are ace then I wouldn't mind saving the money.

    Audio-Technica ATH-M50x Professional Studio Monitor Headphones http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HVLUR86/ref=ask_ql_qh_dp_hza

    Pros:

  • Cheapest price

  • Seemingly great audio quality for said price

    Cons:

  • No idea of comfort for prolonged use

  • Not wireless (not a deal breaker but I just really like wireless)

At an impasse and my inability to make a decision is killing me here.

Would these refurbished ones be as good of a deal as the new ones? Like is there any problem getting these specific ones refurbished?

i just got some senhiezzer urbanite xl bluetooth like new from amazon fro like 130. maybe look at their models too.
i have only tried the sony extra bass and they sound like shit to me. muddy boomy . they feel great though. if you like that feel maybe look at these senneizers ive tried on the mdrzx77 and they felt like cheapo dogshit but didnt get a chance to test sound. audio technica is hailed as the best value cans, but never tried the bluetooth. id say get those or look at the urbanites or 4.40s

Oh.....oh /u/imyke Do I have to teach you the error of your ways with using Beats by Dr.Dre Bluetooth headphones?

Please just toss those into the trash. You paid ~$200 USD for headphones that sound like $50 Bluetooth Headphones. You paid for the Beats name and trademark look.

I can link you to so many better Bluetooth headphones for either cheaper then Beats or the same cost. But sound 100% better. (Well as good as Bluetooth can do because Bluetooth compresses audio files an extreme amount.)

Like for instance The Jaybird X3's

Or the Bose SoundSport Pulse

Or the Sennheiser Urbanite XL If your looking for over ear instead of In Ear.

All of these headphones are 100% better than Beats and cost close to the same price. Well... Except the Sennheiser, but that because it is a studio quality Headphone company that professionals in the recording industry use.

EDIT: Sorry everyone this got out of hand. I thought my post was written in a clearly sarcastic way. I guess I did not. I never meant to personally attack Myke or claim that "I am right and you are wrong." I respect anyone's decision on what they want to buy. I might try to convince you to buy something else, but if what you want fits the requirements you have, buy what you want.
