Sennheiser CX 275 https://www.amazon.in/dp/B008V6T1IW, comes with 2 years warranty. They'll replace with a new one if anything happens.

Location: India

Budget: Indian ₹6,000 (~US $100) Hard limit. It's a big amount to me. Most mid-range android phones cost between ₹8,000-₹15,000.

Source: 50% Laptop and 50% Android phone

Requirements for Isolation: I will be using it both at home and on public transportation, so headphones with sound leaks are not preferable.

Preferred Type of Headphone: I would prefer over-ear rather than on-ear or IEM.

Preferred tonal balance: Overall balanced pair

But what if you want a mic as well? AFAIK, most non gaming headphones with mics cost a lot more than gaming headphones with mics.

this is one of amazons #1 selling headphones, 4 star rating with over 1k reviews, and they're not even $20.

if you get seinnheiser you're spending a lot more, even for earbuds.

Now whether or not the price differences are worth it one way or the other I'm not trying to say, just that if you want a gaming headset with a mic, it seems like you are better off going with the "gaming" brand rather than more name brands.

I'm also considering the Sennheiser CX 275S. Any thoughts on how they compare to the 2.00G?

I don't know if I'm posting in the right thread, but here goes:

I have a pair of Motorola earphones (that came with my sister's phone so they're really cheap plasticy stuff) that have worked for 2-3 years for me, and I've never really wanted a better earphone set. The best thing about these is that they haven't broken yet. I never cleaned them, put them in a case, have always left them plugged into my phone. They've got tangled plenty of times, but sound just as good as they did on the first day of getting them.

But recently I was able to get some extra money (around 2000 Indian rupees) so I thought I might shop around for earphones.

What I want to know is, for my current budget is it worth spending money to "upgrade" my earphones or should I stay with the same earphones?

In my country (India) I don't think there's much choice except for Sennheisers as they're the only company here with good warranty. Most companies here won't give a damn and will force you to buy another earphones if they break, but Sennheiser's different. I had Sennheiser CX 180s before and they were better (as in more isolation, bit better sound quality) than my Motorola earphones that I'm using now, but broke after 10 months of use. Anyone know any ideas on how to prevent my earphones from breaking?

Here's my filled-out template:

Budget: 2000 Indian Rupees (around 31 USD)

Source: PC/HTC One M7

Requirements for isolation: If a bit of sound leaks out it's fine. I plan to use them for jogging outside as well as inside my home.

Preferred type of headphone: I guess IEMs? (bit of a noob to all this)

Preferred tonal balance: Neutral I guess.. not really sure about this. I listen to a lot of J-Pop and video game soundtracks, as well as some classical violin music.

Past headphones: Sennheiser CX180 Street II (broke after a few months)

Preferred music: J-pop, classical music, video game soundtracks

Location: India (city: Hyderabad)

Additionally, I'd prefer to buy from Amazon - here's the site (don't worry, it's in English!): http://www.amazon.in/headphones/b/ref=sd_allcat_sbc_tvelec_headphones?ie=UTF8&node=1388921031

P.S. Any thoughts on the Sennheiser CX275s? It's in my budget and it's by Sennheiser, so I'm heavily considering it.

If you want a mic too then nothing beats CX275s though:

I recommended the 275's earlier in the thread, which is the cellphone headset version of the same.
