I have both the Sennheiser Urbanite On Ear and the Urbanite XL Wireless Bluetooth and I listen to basically the same music as you. Their performance is fantastic, the bass is solid, and they are really comfortable. They're good for both indoor and outdoor use, but neither are active noise-cancelling; they're passive but work well.
The Audio Technica ATH M40x is quite popular in that price range, however, they have been recommended with the Brainwavz HM5 Pads. Another option is the Sennheiser Urbanite(On Ear), which is a little bassier than the M40x, but, in my opinion, looks a little nicer. Those are pretty bass oriented. Pretty much all Gaming Headphones are.
I would try the Beyerdynamic Custom Streets or Sennheiser Urbanites. The Urbanites have both on ear and over ear options. Both are 150 USD or less.
