I enjoy working out while listening to podcasts or audiobooks. It allows me to zone out but there isn't constant noise, which allows me to stay aware of my surroundings (I run really early in the morning).

I have a couple pairs of cheap Bluetooth headphones, just purchased off Amazon. I use these primarily: https://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-Headphones-Waterproof-Sweatproof-Cancelling/dp/B01G8JO5F2/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1541080894&sr=8-1-spons&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=bluetooth+headphones&psc=1

$39.95

$36.97 I own these, and they are pretty great.

$25.99

It really isn't that expensive unless you only look at Sennheiser, AirPods, and Beats.

u/internet_observer · 5 pointsr/Aerials

I use these. The sound quality isn't amazing but they're lightweight, don't get int the way of practice and were cheap. They have volume and a button that can be used to play/pause.

u/iMathGoodiEnglishBad · 4 pointsr/Fitness

I would go wireless and I 120% reccomend these. For the price you can't beat them. Battery life is great, and I only need to charge them once a week. Plus if something does go wrong, they're only 40 bucks.

i bought these pre-AW, but live with headphones in my ears 90% of the the day and got sick of constantly fighting the tangle of the cords ... immediately bought myself a second pair and bought one for my gf.

Edit: originally linked logged into my amazon account, please don't rob me. thanks.

If you're cheap like me, I highly recommend these headphones.

I just got these that are still deeply discounted on Amazon.

I like them a lot and use them both for running and for when I'm in the lab working. Pretty good at blocking out noise and have decent sound quality. Plus, they're inexpensive right now!

u/whythreekay · 3 pointsr/Android

> Oh yeah, I can totally see people ditching their cheap jack-powered headphones for more expensive Bluetooth ones. Especially when their battery dies in the middle of a song/conversation.

Bluetooth headphones aren't more expensive than wired by any appreciable margin though. The best set of cheap headphones I've ever used cost $25 on Amazon (Symphonized NRG 3.0 if anyone cares), these are 4.5/5 rated with over 11,000 reviews, and are an ) $11 premium over the wired set. It's not an issue.

Not to mention that as more phones remove the headphone jack, competition amongst Bluetooth headphone makers will significantly increase, leading to even cheaper higher quality products. I completely disagree with your point here.

> Have I mentioned the fact that they're way easier to lose?

I'm not talking about Airpods, those are proprietary. If you meant generic headsets, why would they be harder to keep track of than wired?

> Tech enthusiasts lament so that "regular" people can see that companies try to force changes that shouldn't be accepted - in this situation removing one of the key features with nothing in return.

I think removing wires is a return, even if you disagree that it's worthwhile for you personally

u/DILAPIDAT3 · 3 pointsr/Rowing

These are the ones I use. The sounds is alright and they're a little bit insulatory. I've been using them for erging, cycling, running, and snowboarding for three years now with no issue.

The SENSO bluetooth headphones on amazon are the best all around headphones for the price imo. I lifted heavy with them for 4 months before I lost them

u/eggoed · 2 pointsr/tennis

I bought these on a whim after my old headphones died and they are a surprisingly good product for the price. I haven't tried them for tennis, but I've used them at the gym and while jogging. Good sound quality and very stable on the ear.

These are Amazon's choice for Bluetooth headphones. Pretty sure they're the most ordered pair of sport Bluetooth headphones especially available on Amazon. So far they've blown me away on how good they sound for the price, they're IPX7 water resistant, have a mic, $30, and on Amazon prime. I'd definitely recommend them, and already have to a couple of friends and they love them as well. Happy hunting!

u/CmdrBlindman · 2 pointsr/NintendoSwitch

Something like that. I was trying to look up my headphones to compare, but the Amazon page doesn't have a specific codec listing.

Apologies for not knowing exactly where to point you. The Bluetooth adapter does it's job, it's just not 100% perfect. More like 95%, imo.

u/swansonic · 2 pointsr/powerlifting

I’ve had these for almost three years. In those three years I’ve gone through a pair of Beats earbuds, and some $180ish pair of Jabra “Sport (lol)” ear buds. These things keep on plugging. Sound is decent, but who really cares-it’s loud and it’s metalcore. Battery life is also great (I charge once a week). Couldn’t recommend them enough. When they do break I’ll just buy another pair.

Oh, well, yes, definitely follow the PT's advice! My "daily" was more rhetorical. Keep to schedule! I've been using [these earbuds] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01G8JO5F2/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1) for over a year now and have been very happy with them. Running, biking...the only thing I don't use them for is phone conversations; the microphone is pretty weak, and when I've tried using them for conversations people think I'm standing about twenty feet from the phone.

u/Antne · 1 pointr/Steroidsourcetalk

i alternate between powerbeats x3, Phaiser BHS-730, and SENSO.

the powerbeats definitely have the best build quality and range (i sometimes leave my phone in one room and go outside to do pullups, and the beats keep playing.

for the money, the phaiser headphones are great. they're small and the build quality is excellent, but not as good as beats. all the accessories included are awesome too.

the senso are alright. i like that they don't have a button box (controls are on the headphones) but the build quality is the worst of the 3, but still pretty good.

for all of them, i get the knockoff comply ear tips from aliexpress. they all use the same size, so no problems there.

i tried the beatsx for working out once, and hated them. hard to move around with that thing dangling around your neck.

TLDR: I need in ear Bluetooth wireless IEM for people with very very small ear canals.

They're also water resistant/proof (some people claimed that they could swim with them).

I use the Senso's at work $29.99. Hard to beat for the money.

I have the X2's and X3's as well. Really like both of them, but I don't want to ruin or lose them while at work. The Senso's don't sound as good, but good enough for listening to podcast all day.

does anyone have a nice go to pair of bluetooth earbuds for workouts my price range is about 75-100$ but if they were a bit cheaper thatd be ok ? I want something that sounds great without blasting out my eardrums.

Or does quality not matter much anyway with bluetooth ?

This is going to sound contradictory, but my personal choice would be the Bose SoundSport Free Truly Wireless, if I was going to use it for the gym. Only because Bose's tips are ridiculously comfortable and the only one that fits in my ears. You can get this off the Apple Store for $200.

However, if your girlfriend is a normal person unlike me, most earbuds should fit her, and you can get something much cheaper. If I were you I'd be pretty pissed at Apple so I would get a $300 item from their store and sell it for like $250 or so, then use that money to buy two things for the lady, something for sports and something nice for home use.

I've personally been using the Philips SHQ1200/28 ActionFit for years now, they're cheap, sound fine, and somehow survived being accidentally thrown in the washing machine twice. I'm not recommending this for you because they don't have a mic, but just listing as example that budget options can last for a long time and imo are more worth the money if you're only using them to work out. Something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-Headphones-Waterproof-Sweatproof-Cancelling/dp/B01G8JO5F2/ might be worth taking a look at, if these fit my ears it's exactly what I would look for if using them for running. I do run, and personally prefer something easy to use, light, stays in my ears, doesn't get in the way, isn't hot, and sounds good. I'm recommending this one because it fits all the above requirements, but mainly because the cable is just a cable and doesn't have controls lined on it, unlike most wireless earbuds. This means I won't feel the annoying tap of a weight on my shoulder or neck as I'm jogging up and down. You should ask her what she likes and go from there.

I'm more of a headphone person though, so if you're here for good sound and durability, I feel like she would love the V-Moda Crossfade M-100. They're tight enough that you could use them for running, though I personally wouldn't (too hot). But you could buy this one and then Senso's and that would be pretty cool. If you don't want the wire you can get the V-MODA Crossfade Wireless, cheaper and wireless, but the sound quality won't be as good.

If she's cool with exercising with the Senso's and using the headphones for commutes and a better music experience and calls (basically everything that doesn't include exercise) then I recommend the Sennheiser HD 4.40 BT. Or, if you think it's too much work haha, just grab the Bose ones. :P

u/OkieScoop · 1 pointr/loseit

I just got these. I wanted bluetooth so I didn't have wires flopping around everywhere. Overall, I like them, but the wind noise is annoying when the wind catches the mic at the right angle. I don't use them for calling, so I'm going to try taping over the mic to see if that helps. Seem to be worth the money though. The wind noise is only a problem for a few minutes out of an hour long walk.

Type: Wireless in-ear

Budget: around $100

Source: Nintendo switch (via bluetooth adapter), PC, phone

Requirements for Isolation: it would be nice but not critical

Will you be using these Headphones in Public: yes, public transportation and such.

Preferred tonal balance: balanced, a little bit of bass wouldn't hurt.

Past headphones: in-ear cheap skull candy wired did the job

I've been looking over a few options and i've stumbled upon these:

$37 SENSO Bluetooth Headphones - great reviews

$130 Jaybird X3 - recommended by a friend, quite pricey

$80 ADV Sound Model 3 - hardly any info online though

I'd love to hear your opinions and other recommendations :)

Thanks!

Looking for earphones I can use in the pool (only 1.5 meters, it's like 3 gallons I think, deep). If not the pool then in the shower would be acceptable as well. I don't need too long of the battery, really 4 hours enough. I want it to last a bit and I need the price not to exceed 45$.
Which of the two is better? Or if there's something better please tell me.

they have the best sound quality out of all my headphones even my $100 gaming set, after about 3 months of daily use they hold about 5 hours of charge, and at $20 they're $5 cheaper than when I bought them. I'd recommend these to anybody and honestly I might grab another pair now that I saw they're cheaper lol

edit: it seems they have dropped in price because there is a newer model out with better sound quality now for $25 you should be able to find it if you scroll down on the page

It's 100% completely hype. Sellers markup MSRP then mark the sale price down to a buck or two below what is the normal retail price. A pair of cheap bluetooth ear buds for example These. The prime day special price was like $34. As you can see the MSRP is $169.99. When it showed up in the deals and you hadn't done any research you'd think you are getting a heck of a deal! In reality they sell for about that price every day on Amazon or Wal-Mart, whatever.

Insult to injury these are the exact same headphones as These only $20 bucks more. The only differences are cosmetic. They are both built by the same company over in China and just wholesaled out to different OEMs.

In short Amazon/Prime day deals really aren't much of deals at all.

u/EpicPotatoLord · 1 pointr/headphones

Get These for working out, and get KZ ZST's for music.

u/AngelaZQ · 1 pointr/audiophile

I need some bluetooth earbud recommendations. Ive dug around Amazon and other subreddits for around half an hour and there are just too many options.

I just need a decent budget pair of bluetooth earbuds that has acceptable audio for its price. My budget is <$30. Im only going to be using these for listening to music (Im not an audiophile) and watching Youtube. I currently own a pair of Panasonic ErgoFit In-Ear Earbuds. Ive had them for about a year and they work great. I just get annoyed by all the wire.

So here are some options off Amazon that I'm considering. If you know that any of these are trash, please say so and I will take it off my list.

u/Skitch_n_Sketch · 1 pointr/audiophile

Realistically, your goals at that price point is impossible. Best pair of bluetooth earbuds I've used come in at around $100 - $150, and the best sub $50 earbuds won't be bluetooth.

If you're set on bluetooth, this is the highest rated one I've found for sub $50. I won't recommend it, nor can I guarantee it will sound any good, but it's an option.

If you can sacrifice BT, Chinese IEM's dominate the budget market. KZ ATE's come in at around $13 and sound damn good for that price. /r/headphones should have more recommendations + impressions.

I bought the below headphones last year to use while practicing my competition piece during group sessions. I haven’t had an issue with them falling out and since they have a little wire connecting them, if one were to fall out I suppose you would still have the other one in. They’re not very expensive and they hold a decent charge.

I feel very strongly about this topic. I’ve been through 4 nightmare pairs of Bluetooth headphones. These SENSO headphones are the king SENSO

They actually stay in place since they have a piece that goes around your ear compared to the kind that just have a little thing that sticks in your ear. Most importantly the volume/play control is on the earpiece instead of the wire so it doesn’t flop around and through your life into a frustrating chaos.

I've had these for about a week and so far, so good! They seem to be good quality. They've done well with burpees/mountain climbers/other activities where they might fall out. Bluetooth connection is super easy. I've noticed they start losing connection if I'm 10 or 15 feet away from my phone, and they're not super noise cancelling, which is helpful when running outside, but maybe not so much if you're really trying to zone out. I use them for HIIT cardio and weight lifting and I sweat A LOT.

u/bootysmashen · 0 pointsr/pics

Cool project, it's kind of imitating this which would be the perfect solution for him (only other options being buy an android phone or buy a wireless headset). I don't see any other way around this.

I have a Galaxy S6 and bought a cheap pair of earbuds. They happen to be wireless bluetooth earbuds. I didn't buy them for that, I bought them because most 30$ headsets on Amazon were fake or garbage. They're pretty awesome for the price, 8 hours of battery, decent mic and audio quality.

Turns out, bluetooth headsets are fucking awesome, especially when you pair them with wireless charging. I can walk around the house while my phone is charging, and be listening to music or talking on the phone. If I walk a little too far out of range, it's very easy to pick up the phone to move with me. I'll even wear them while driving sometimes. My phone charges in the car, and I can get out at the gas stations and keep listening to my podcast without needing to touch the phone.

I thought I'd hate wireless earbuds but I ended up loving them. I have a tough decision about whether to buy wired headphones or wireless now. If your friend bought an Iphone X and Iphone 8, he should certainly have enough money to buy some Airpods or something else to solve his problem of keeping the lightning port free while moving around and charging.

I feel you but that's not a convincing argument with such a diverse field of wireless products available. I've had these headphones for 3 years and I couldn't be happier. Once you go wireless, you'll never go back.

Best-selling bluetooth headphones on Amazon.

These things are not outselling Beats LMAO.

EDIT: For people downvoting, here's the article itself:

>At the moment, the Cowin E7 is Amazon's top selling wireless, noise canceling headphone and has a four star rating with 3,800+ reviews.

Okay? It's not the "best selling headphone in the US." It's Amazon's top seller in that category.

If you want a point of comparison, these headphones have over 20,000 reviews.

DOUBLE EDIT: Fixed the link.
