Growing up mixed (Black and white) with a white father was a struggle. When my mom deployed for a year when I was a kid, he had to learn how to manage my hair. If he can learn, so can anyone.

For the dads out there, below are the steps to learning how to manage and style your daughters hair.

  1. Go to a black hair supply store (they will 100% have what you need at an economical price)

  2. A cheap long lacefront wig $20-$40. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B014KQDCE0/ref=pd_aw_sim_194_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=RVYDFT9FJMAKWP2795CE

  3. Foam wig head $5-$10. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B005ACLU3E/ref=mp_s_a_1_3_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1482019533&sr=8-3&keywords=foam+wig+head&pi=SY200_QL40&dpPl=1&dpID=41%2BBuQwRC%2BL&ref=plSrch

  4. Wig pins $2-$5 https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0048L3JPU/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1482019390&sr=8-1&keywords=wig+pins&pi=SY200_QL40&dpPl=1&dpID=41ee645ztuL&ref=plSrch

  5. Wig stand (essential) $10-$15 https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01874IQX8/ref=mp_s_a_1_3_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1482019489&sr=8-3&keywords=wig+stand&pi=SY200_QL40&dpPl=1&dpID=31aBtBNWLRL&ref=plSrch

  6. Find YouTube tutorials, and don't give up!

These tools will allow you to learn how to do your daughters hair with the confidence that you've perfected the style. For all of you dads out there, good luck!

I personally go through Etsy. It's fairly easy to use, doesn't charge much for hosting. She's also going to need Paypal and a bank account to tie to the Paypal account.

I am going to suggest getting (or borrowing) a good camera/camera phone for the pictures. Also, buy a foam head to help model the hats easier, because then they have definition and aren't lying flat.

The thing that I find works well for me is not only cross posting my stuff everywhere but also finding a niche and catering to it. I can say that my crocheted My Little Pony hats have sold well, and so have my Pokemon hats. Every few weeks, I post to their subreddits, and mention them on my facebook (not linking to that, sorry), on occasion I do give-a-ways.... she's going to have to, for lack of a better term, whore her shop out. Get people to notice it. Get them to spread the word. Do special games or sell something unusual.

She also has to know that orders aren't going to come in right away, nor will they always be that common. And that's okay. My shop laid dormant for the entire summer, but that gave me time to focus on school and a (very) few designs.

When it comes to pricing... find something similar and price around that. That's my best advice. I price the same as most other people selling beanies, and when I factor in time x cost, I only make several dollars an hour (though, like I mentioned, I end up getting paid to watch tv, so yay).

Feel free to ask anything else you may want to ask, and wish her luck from me!

For the first month I suggest tampons dipped it pig's blood or fake blood. Whichever looks more real.

Second: lady bugs.

Third: A regular looking envelope, but inside is a piece of paper soaked in pig's blood. Nothing has to be written.

Fourth: A nice parcel with a styrofoam head.

On the fifth, leave a fruit basket. Don't do anything to it.

After that, I have no idea. Just be careful: I'm not a lawyer.
