Yeah, you can just buy sheets of them and print at home. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0043WJ3OA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_ZorJyb56PM6P0

This looks like a home made transfer to me... if it was done last night, with that amount of shading, it would be bright red

I was wrong, OP stepped up, just like our man Hawkeye. Good work OP.

Make your own

....please dont. If you want to get this tattooed.

Get it temp-tattooed instead. There are many ways.

Notably just print it out on this thing and voila. Getting something political tattooed on your body just isn't a good idea especially if all you want is to show support for something for a day or two.

Cause it's really hard to oh wait no it's not. But then you couldn't really get a normal printer that OH WAIT YES YOU CAN ANY LASER PRINTER WORKS.

Also if you doubt it, send some bitcoin to it, see if it's valid.

A friend got this for his Hween costume... it will work better than printing it on paper and taping it to you, and you can try 20 different spots without taking up an artists time.

They make inkjet temporary tattoo paper. It seems to last a lot longer than any paint and wont smudge at all. Might want to give it a try. May need to re apply after a couple of days tho. But they are water proof as long as you dont rub them off in the shower.

BTW great Jack Sparrow. I remember seeing you up at Phx Comicon.
I was Vega from Street fighter and I used a Body paint crayon (I got it from Arizona art supply) for the snake tattoo. It worked great for 1 day. It did smear a bit tho by the end of the day and would not suggest it for detailed things like tattoos. I plan on trying the temporary tattoo paper next time so I can get more detail. It seems to be the only other thing i could come up with.

There's also this stuff, which I've heard good things about.

Here's a thread from a year ago-or-so from someone that sent the design into a custom online store for temp tattoos (he says he e-mailed the company with the designs and got a quote so idk how much it cost).

If you can find high res pictures of the tattoo and access to an inkjet printer (though some people say they haven't had problems with laser printers in some reviews), you can also get temporary tattoo paper, and print them yourself.

Thanks! Appreciate the comment.
I actually got this tattoo two years ago and it was my first. I had been wanting to get a Chrono Trigger one for years but was afraid that I would regret it - not easy or cheap to undo a permanent tattoo. In preparation I actually used temporary tattoo paper to see if I would like it, varying the size, color, and placement on my body.
I'd definitely recommend trying that beforehand to get a better idea of how it might look.

This is the paper I used https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0043WJ3OA/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Hope that helps!

I got my first at 18; had been wanting one for the previous year, but struck a deal with the parents that I'd wait until after graduating HS, and they'd pay for it. I ended up managing to get it a little early so I could show it off the last couple months of senior year. (Note that this was in 1994, when getting a tattoo in high school was still considered daring and rebellious. Now I swear they're getting 'em in elementary school, oy...)

I'd say if you want one, go ahead. It's your skin, you're (pretty much) an adult, and if you're paying for it yourself, well...Just be sure to follow the two pieces of advice I got. Make sure you really want what you decide on, since it's going to be with you for a while. You can get temporary tattoo inkjet paper to 'test drive' your choices if you would like, but don't overthink it. I took about 3-4 months of visiting and looking through flash books (remember, pre-internet days...) before I decided, but YMMV.

Second, make sure that the place you go is absolutely hygenic, professional, and schools you thoroughly on immediate after-care. (I know from experience) Unfortunately, I'm not a TX local, so I'll defer to a more local subreddit member to answer your second question.

Lastly, enjoy your new artwork; may it always make you proud.

There are lots of brands of inkjet tattoo paper out there, and after much experimentation, this one has become the one I always use. (Others really, really suck.)

Setting them up and cutting them out can be a bit of a pain, but they look amazing and I had one last nicely for almost a week.

Tips:

  • The instructions aren't the most intuitive ever. Don't forget to peel off the clear plastic film before applying.
  • Cut out the major shapes with scissors, then cut away smaller parts of "white" area with an x-acto kife. The clear areas of film actually don't look too bad, but they are a touch shiny.
  • If you have hair at the nape of your neck, watch to make sure it doesn't get caught under the tattoo film.
  • /u/kmactane made a really nice multipurpose set of tattoo images if you don't feel like making your own unique ones. You might ask him for a share!

This would be cheaper than the Etsy store /u/DangItBobbyHill mentioned if you're planning on more than 2 tattoos. I've never used it before, but I'm pretty sure you can just print the image onto it with normal printer ink. You're also less limited in what you want to make.

u/WhereIsTheMilkMan · 2 pointsr/OnePiece

Pretty much! Except that particular one that I posted is for laser printers specifically, so not quite a regular printer. They do however make the same kind of thing for inkjet printers, this one being the best of those options in my experience. I prefer the laser paper, though, as I think it works better.

I found really good pictures of the tattoos and printed them onto temporary tattoo paper.

Maybe use some printable temp tattoo paper to help keep the lines clean?

u/vyvantage · 1 pointr/cosplay

Wow, thank you!

I actually used printable tattoo paper and a vector I created of the tattoo. I actually have another tattoo under the elbow band that would be in the way if getting a full length arm tattoo, but I do like the design a lot.

Printable temporary tattoo paper is a thing that exists.

I just started using This stuff for a local game here in Atlanta, and it worked pretty well.

u/andiiquinn · 1 pointr/TheExpanse

Oh, and the patches. You can get Tycho patches in different sizes from Nerdgasm Embroidery on Etsy. The detail on her sleeve is from the Nauvoo. I was only able to find one, on eBay.

Alternatively, you can accomplish the same look with transfer paper. It might even look more authentic. I got epson iron on cool peel transfer paper.

You can go a similar route for her belter tattoo with temporary tattoo transfer paper: Silhouette MEDIA-TATTOO... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0043WJ3OA?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf
Or you could free hand it with makeup/a sharpie. :)

Good luck!!

there's actually tattoo paper you can buy off amazon. Just size up the arrows and print on almost any printer. I plan on using this one for a future Riza Hawkeye cosplay.

u/TheNakedGnome · 1 pointr/DotA2
u/stevaloo · 1 pointr/Overwatch

Just print the dragon tats on some tattoo paper.

I'd just get a nerf bow and modify it. Most of them look like Overwatch weapons anyways.

u/Nynes · 1 pointr/DIYcosplay

Additionally, if you need to put it on and dont want to draw on yourself - theres temporary tattoo paper you can get on Amazon here.

You can run it through a printer or draw on it!
