There's also Metroid Prime and Metroid Fusion, where a blob absorbs and gets the suit's power and shape.
That's just some I can think of the top of my head, quite a few others that I can't remember or am too lazy to go find atm.
Let's also not forget that No-Face is transparent-ish has a mask as well as a mouth, when he's "thin"he's more of a ghost/ spirit, "walking" upright, while he's "fat" he's blob-like, sure, but still has a giant mouth and mask, as well as limbs he walks/ crawls with, still semi-transparent on either form at no point is he Like Aldrich that I can recall, even personality-wise they're completely different, looking back on it the only thing they had in common is they eat people...and barely that, No-Face only eats like 3 people (which he spits out anyways), to be honest, the more I tried to look for similarities, the more doubtful I became of it being a reference at all.
>His lower body is very serpent-like, you can see it here for example...
Hmm I mean it looks like goo underneath all that half-digested crap all over it, why would it have random skeletons half-sticking out if not goo?
I'm not saying it's watery goo, but more like sludge or denser goo, you know?
We also have to keep in mind hardware limitations, they can't really have a perfect goo with goo physics(?) with debris and all that, it's difficult enough to make decent goo physics but making goo physics in a constantly moving boss that's digesting a bunch of skeleton ON TOP of everything else going on in that room...I think they'd rather make sure the fight runs well and having a cool design, than worry about the gooeyness of the bottom part of his body.
>its also heavily implied that Aldrich just dreamt about Priscilla and thus aquired the miracle.
Ok fair enough, the whole deal with that is pretty iffy, especially considering we're dealing with the painted world, so I'll agree that one's up for debate.
>I cant really think of any show where there is such a parallelism with maneating goo. And i also made more connection than just that.
Really?
That and sometimes shape-shifting are basically the usual monster slime/ goo/ blob behaviour.
