PSVR is not on the top sellers because its sold out until launch.

Its not DOA

Except MS is behind and HAS to announce Scorpio now or lose even more ground in the race. Sony doesnt have to announce anything until they are ready to launch. You think those specs MS announced wont change when they start trying to price where consumers will actually want to buy it.

>Now, Sony has a weird PSVR Core version that won't work until the player goes out and buys the processor box, or waits for a Neo.

The processor box is included in all the bundles of the PSVR. There is nothing else that a PSVR user will have to buy that is extra.

Amazon. Bought mine this weekend for $435. In stock December 8.

I don't know if you've seen this or not but...

If you already have Rift or Vive, then it's understandable not wanting to buy the PSVR. But, your reasons only apply to someone who does. For those that do not own a VR headset, I think the PSVR is hands down the way to go if you don't already have an optimal PC

Considering we're on the PS4 sub, people in here probably already have the console. Granted, the Pro pumps out a better experience, but having played VR on both, the difference isn't all that much...for now. So, you're already halfway there. Now, it's about shelling out another $387 for the headset, another $86.35 for two Move controllers(optional), and $41.99 for the camera if you don't already have one. Of course, they now have the Launch Bundle available again for $499.99...

Anyways, there are benefits to the Rift and Vive. Their controllers are far superior. The vastness of both Steam and VR content on the internet is quick and easy (there is a workaround with the PSVR and software designed by the community to be used with PC, but it can be a bit of a chore to troubleshoot at times), and the tracking is better. The PSVR does also have its pro's, like comfort, less 'screen-door' effect...there are a plethora of articles breaking down all 3 systems' pros and cons.......but having RE7 VR exclusivity for a year, as well as Farpoint and the cool new AIM controller (it's absolutely amazing, UPS dropped mine off @ the door Monday evening), might tip the scales for a lot of potential buyers towards the PSVR and I'd agree with their purchase.

Either way, I'm just excited I'll be able to watch the Champions League Final on my PSVR!

I don't understand why it's showing up on retailers sites at $200+ over retail. Is it 3rd parties charging markup?

Amazon - $600+ https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B01DE9DY8S/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&condition=new

Walmart - $650 https://www.walmart.com/ip/PlayStation-VR-PS4-Playstation-4/50851002#about-item

This is the best deal I've found so far.. $610 for the bundle, but I already have the camera and don't need that.
GameStop - $610 bundle - http://www.gamestop.com/ps4/accessories/playstation-vr-holiday-bundle/139574#productDetails

Yeah, and again, it might just be a datapoint.

I got an email that said they wanted me to call about authorizing $$$ for them to fix it. I called expecting a modest request. I was kind of taken-aback by their request for $99 (1/2 the cost of a new-in-box headset + processor and assorted cables) but initially relented. After hanging up and stewing in my own rage for a bit, I called back a minute later and asked them to just mail it back. When I was on the phone with CS-rep #2 I specifically asked "but you guys fixed a friend of mine's cable a few months ago" and the reply was basically "no, we have never fixed broken cables because dogs keep chewing on them." I replied that I do have a dog, but that he's never chewed on any cables ever (true fact).

I'm pretty frustrated with the whole thing. I'm also a stubborn SOB, so I told them to mail it back to me and I'll fix it myself.

I honestly have no idea how the cable could have been broken. The break is towards the plug (i.e. processor-unit) end, so its not like it could have gotten caught in a vacuum cleaner or furniture.

They use to have a InStock ETA, but it doesn't show at product page anymore, also they don't have the "Alert Me When Avaiable" anymore. :/
I visited Amazon, BestBuy, Gamestop pages everyday and sudenly it showed up at Amazon:

Good luck.

Doesn't look like pre-order is even available on amazon right now:

> PSVR is like 160 or so last I checked. If you already own a ps4 that’s not bad.

Someone should tell Amazon and Best Buy that, for sure.

> Elite Dangerous, Arizona Sunshine, SuperHot, BoxVR, VRchat, Star Trek Bridge Crew, Audiosheild - all working solid. The only games I think considered high end that I haven’t tried yet is Fallout and Skyrim (mostly because I don’t want to pay $40-60 for games that usually go for like $13 just because they added VR support).

Some of these games - like Arizona Sunshine - have minimum requirements that specify processors that were released only four years ago. I sincerely doubt your 10-year-old processor made no more recently than 2008 would be sufficient.

But, if you insist.

Price has dropped to [$350 on Amazon](PlayStation VR https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DE9DY8S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_ZC2Czb56RNS7C) and $330 on Costco.com.

Target and Best Buy will match Costco's price as well.

You can get the headset on it’s own (comes with the processor unit) PlayStation VR https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DE9DY8S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_s1UTBb1FKQEW0

I will say that I bought this just last week and it was 30 bucks cheaper (~$185), so not sure if they are being phased out or if you want to risk waiting for the price to go down.

Then you just need to buy Move controllers separately.

u/[deleted] · 1 pointr/NintendoSwitch

Are you serious? Fifa? lol. You gonna telling my fifa is a switch exclusive? Nintendo fanboys are really funny sometimes :D

I agree on arms, will add that.

All the other games..sorry but that arnt aa-aaa games. if i include all the smaller japenese ps4 exclusive games (like digimon, double dragon, tales of berserisa, boundless and so on) on this list as well it will be a looong list. Just focus on AA-AAA expierences for now.

PS: I wouldnt consider a xbox 360 arcade port a exclusive switch game as well :D

Also: PSVR was/is sold out scince 4 month in a row. People lined up for restock of the PSVR 3 month after launch

http://kotaku.com/today-in-japan-hundreds-of-people-lined-up-for-play-1791646092

amazon NA still sold out: https://www.amazon.com/PlayStation-VR/dp/B01DE9DY8S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1486249780&sr=8-1&keywords=psvr&th=1

If you already have a bangin PC with 1070ti AND you already have a PS4PRO you are in really great shape and i would recommend BOTH!

$200 for the lenovo mixed reality headset and controllers has steam support! https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/d/lenovo-explorer-windows-mixed-reality-headset-with-motion-controllers/8n5sn73q2xvg?activetab=pivot%3aoverviewtab

$200 PSVR headset https://www.amazon.com/PlayStation-VR-4/dp/B01DE9DY8S

and i say fuck the overpriced rift/vive...

$400 gives you everything you need for all systems you own.

How does that sound?

Hm it has 4,5/5 stars on amazon, so it looks like the people who bought it actually like it alot.
