So I was actually pretty bored. The amazon API is great for organized large-scale applications, but if you want to get right down quick and dirty, you can always just scrape the webpage. This isn't generally well-liked, but it is a quick and easy way to get web information.
So I wrote a quick program that does that in Java (quick meaning took me an hour to get everything just right, but eh..). Simply enter the item to search, and it will find the first available item given the search terms, and report the URL and Price.
