Here's what I do...

  • I first shake the brush over the sink thoroughly
  • Then I place the brush on a stand which sits on my counter
  • After about 24hrs I move the brush to my linen closet where it hangs until it's next use
  • Occasionally I will put the brushes in a Muhle Travel Tube for a few days. I find this helps straighten the bristles but that's just an OCD of mine.

    I don't think it really maters if you hang dry with bristles down or just sit the brush on it's handle with bristles up. The most important is to keep it in a well ventilated area so it can dry. I once put my Simpson Case 1 travel brush in it's tube before it was fully dry. The next day I could smell mildew on the knot, I took several cleanings to get it out.

In my studio I got lucky with storage but I know that I would get this bag holder as well as collapsible kitchen essentials. A slim trash can helps. If your bathroom has no storage, something like this can help. Hang your spices on the cabinet. Use this in the shower if you need more space. XD I use command hooks near my front door to hold my keys and daily jacket. :)
