I always get the Spigen clear cases for all my phones. They work very well and are easy to take on and off as needed.

My absolute favorite of the bunch and the case I keep going back to is the Bear Motion. Those white specs in the pics aren't nearly as visible in person and the become even less visible over time.
If I'm doing anything where I think dropping my phone is a possibility I sport the Spigen Rugged ARmor.

Skins will only protect against scratches. Dropping a phone with just a skin will result in typical drop damage, which includes broken screens, protector or not as there is no buffer to take the force that a case gives.
If you want protection, get a case. If you want protection and show off a skin. There are a few cases out there that might interest you. Like the Ringke Fusion and the Spigen Liquid Crystal for example. There are some others out there too.
I'm using the Spigen Liquid Crystal and I'm super happy with it, so it's weird that yours yellowed. No scratches or scuffs and no signs of yellowing (I've had it since day one).
Did you contact Spigen when your previous one yellowed?

I run without a screen protector but it should accommodate one pretty easily.
Not too intrusive but protects the phone well.
