Naw. The purchased one is cheaper and it's made of TPU so it's soft and flexible.

I printed on in PLA and was always worried that it would scratch something.

Plus I have to say that there are better stands - the watch sometimes doesn't connect with the magnet.

This Spigen stand gives a much more reliable connection to the charger and it's only $8.

Regardless, I think it looks pretty cool, although I'm too lazy to deal with that everyday. I just slap my watch on a $10 Apple Watch charging stand for 30 min a day and call it done.

This Spigen Apple Watch stand is great. Simple, minimal, and cheap. Gets the job done. People have complained about the tape on the bottom of it, but I just left the plastic on and don't have a problem with it sliding around on my wooden table.

This one since I bought my AW last year. It is very cheap but has held up this whole time. The charging disc fits snugly in the dock and the sticky tape stuff on the bottom has stuck to my stand, come off, and stuck to a different stand. It doesn't budge and supports night stand mode. For $7.

There really aren't that many things that are specific to apple watch for $10 or less. If you broaden the scope to all Apple branded things, you could buy him an apple mug or poster or something like that. Gift cards are good too

I use a small dock for my watch and a wireless charging pad for my phone. Both are on my nightstand.

Regularly on sale for less than $4. The best stand I have compared to my other Chinese ones all the way up to $100 stands.

I use the Spigen dock which was like $7 on Amazon. I got the Moko one for my wife. They are both soft touch and kind of like a stiff silicone/tpu. I've had no issues and they look decent, especially for the price.

I grabbed one of these the other day and I really like it. It's very very simple (and very inexpensive) but it does make connecting and disconnecting the charger really easy.

A charging stand. Even just the most basic ones like this or this. Obviously it's not a big deal to stick on the charger normally, but when you have to do it every day/every couple of days its worth streamlining and a stand will make it practically effortless to just drop it on the charger.

Alternatively also worth considering a combined watch + phone dock, if that appeals to you - when I got my stand I didn't want one of those because they almost all hold the watch vertically which would negate nightstand mode. Now as of watchOS 4.3 there's a vertical orientation nightstand mode, so a stand like that is more viable.

That stinks man. I’ve put mine on my desk charger when I get out of the shower which keeps it on it’s side. Maybe that’s helped mine from getting messed up from my carelessness

Other than buying some bands, there's not really much in the way of accessories needed! Cases just look clunky, most (not all, but most) screen protectors look tacky.

I'm a fan of Clockwork Synergy's bands, and Apple's own sport bands. I have a Space Black stainless steel model, and it looks sharp with the black, white and red sport bands.

Ah ok. Not bad for 8$. The one I got is small and unobtrusive. Stays put w the sticky pad on the bottom but it's not stuck w adhesive so it can be moved easily.

Ah, I didn't realize the dock worked like that. It is expensive for what it does, though, I agree. I just connect my puck charger to $8 Spigen plastic dock. Even it wasn't so expensive it's still too big for what I'd like to do. I wonder if the magnetic puck is licensed by Apple in the same way that the lightning port is?
