My One
So yeah that's my One M8. My favorite thing about the home screen pictures is that you can tell exactly what my hobbies and likes are, and of course my favorite hockey team. Any questions are welcome.
The aluminum build doesn't stick to you hands the same way most plastic phones do. I always feel like I'm going to drop the phone when I have it out of the case.
With this Spigen case on it, it has just the right amount of "stickiness" and I never feel like it's going to take a tumble.
I have this one. It's a Spigen Air Cushion case. Doesn't add a ton of bulk. Coworker didn't even realize that I had the case on at first. I still prefer it without the case. That, and this one covers the IR blaster, not that I was using it, but also covers up more than I would like of the USB port. Doesn't work well with Amazon Basics cables, i.e. I have to take them off to charge.
Make sure to keep access to USB port in mind.
How do you guys feel about SPIGEN?
I was really set on the DotView, but decided it really didn't look that protective and kinda flimsy. Ordered a SPIGEN not knowing much about them, but the reviews are good....

I went with the Spigen Air Cushion (Looks like it came down a couple bucks since I bought it... http://amzn.com/B00J9B4FR0) and was strongly considering the SUPCASE Unicorn Beatle (http://amzn.com/B00IJ0R02Y) the main difference is the SUPCASE doesn't block the IR Blaster whereas the Spigen does. The Spigen is dual layer protection though and doesn't add TOO much bulk.
If you want protection, but also looks and grip, I'd definitely take a look at a UAG case. They're a tad pricey but offer amazing protection, Look really great, and drastically improve grip/handling
-Cutout for IR blaster
-Good button clickeyness (tactile response)
-Includes a decent screen protector
-Comes in 5 color variants (navy blue, white, black, orange, and clear)
-Has a flat back, so it feels and looks thicker than most cases would, but it won't rock on a flat surface
9/10 for looks
9.5/10 for protection
9/10 for functionality (button response, port access...)

Alternatives:
Incipio Dualpro (I own one, 7/10 looks, 7/10 protection, 8/10 functionality)
Incipio Feather (I own one, 9/10 looks, 3/10 protection, 8/10 functionality)
Poetic Atmosphere (I own one, 8/10 looks, 6/10 protection, 8/10 functionality)
Spigen Slim Armour (do not own one. Excellent ratings, cheaper than UAG)

Best case I've used on a phone IMO. Enough buffer without being hugely oversized (otterbox defender), smooth but with some grip comfy and good looking. Only downside is it blocks the IR blaster on the power button. I would say its similar to otterbox commuter but having used the commuter on multiple phones, the Spigen feels and looks better.
