Listen to the Dark Forces: Jedi Knight audiobooks. They have a full cast and it's like listening to a radio show, but Star Wars! Really well done and a good story too.

This I own and oh god is it good. It was made before JO but ties together events from DF and JK.
It would definitely be cool, but I think the Dark Forces Audio Dramas fill that gap pretty nicely.
