The Taung, otherwise known as Shadow Warriors, are honored among Mandalorians as their "Progenitors". They originally dwelled on Coruscant, but they were driven to the Outer Rim. Their clans traveled from planet to planet on orders from their war chief, who interpreted the will of some gods that they worshiped. Many civilizations fell to the Taung.
However, Mandalore the Ultimate himself predicted that the age of the Taung was coming to an end prior to the Mandalorian Wars. Hence why they started inducting non Taung into the Mando'ade. These new Mandalorians came to be known across the galaxy as the Neo-Crusaders. You see some surviving Neo-Crusaders in the KOTOR series. It is confirmed by the Death Watch in a source book The Bounty Hunter Code that the "Progenitors" (remember that these are Taung) are extinct.
Cosmetics are one thing, but they wouldn't bring back a species that is supposed to be dead as a playable race.

If you like it, you should look into The Jedi Path and The Bounty Hunter Code by the same author.
Read The Bounty Hunter Code and then rethink the money factor. (Hint: the Guild's gonna bleed you dry.)
Bought these a whiles back. There's also a bounty hunter one.
