What you gotta do is

1. Install it
   
2. Use it and go through the steps & login to make sure it's enabled
   
3. Use the extension to search for something Sold by Amazon and add it to your cart(You should get the credit anyways but this is just to make sure)
   
4. Go to Checkout and it should show a $5 off Credit, it may take a few minutes to apply to your account
   
   As a extra step, remove the extension since it's now useless and will just sit there and record your browser habits.
   
   
   The $5 Credit is good until Dec 31st.
   
   
   
   Edit : This does seem to work on some Gift Cards as well, just not the Amazon Gift cards.
