We use the Arm's Reach cosleeper to keep our son next to the bed and high away from the dogs. We also have one of these gates to section off the house
And got this playpen to keep the baby in and dogs out when he's old enough to play on his own.

Oof!

Are the glass cabinets freestanding? We have some glass doors on our built-ins and they haven't been an issue.

They do make a 6ft version of the gates we have, we considered it but ended up just deciding she could go in the dining room. I know even longer ones exist.

The woodstove is tricky. Is it freestanding with space around all sides or is it flush against a hearth? They do make fireplace gates that can go all the way around and then don't need to be anchored (like a playpen).

Just throwing out ideas, supervision and playpen may end up working for you!
