I'm about 1/3 through SuperCapitalism although if I was going to finish it there I'd have to borrow it from my friend again :P
My previous post is kind of a tl;dr from a book I read named Supercapitalism. The book uses this basic idea to explain falling real wages & costs, lobbying groups, and other social ills. It was fairly persuasive to me.
As for the legal system, I don't think it is "completely broken" and I haven't heard a better suggestion that didn't suffer greater from failings. What do you think is broken in the western legal system, and what would you replace it with or what changes would you implement?
This book has an interesting chapter discussing how Walmart's practices concurrently work for and against the lower and middle class.
Read Super Capitalism by Robert Reich. You might not feel the same way afterwards.
