I recently patched 2 hinges up and they are holding great. I am trying to push these videos out but I can give you a brief description of what I did.
If you dont mind a little glue showing that resembles clear nail polish, this is what I used :

I removed the top of the XD+ ( screen ) by removing the 4 screws, then removing the hinge, you can leave the ribbon side on, just remove the top at an angle so that you can work on the hinge case piece without having the metal mechanical hinge in. ( you dont want to glue the metal hinge to the case) . Use a small clamp if you want ( I advise it ) but if the crack is not spread apart then you should be able to glue it as is. Put glue on the crack on the inside and outside. Make sure not to put too much on the inside because you need the hinge to fit back into that slot. If you want to add strength to the hinge you can puddle the glue on the inside toward the outer edge of the case. as long as you dont mess with the area that the metal hinge fits into. i don't see why you cant just keep adding glue.

I must add that this happened because GPD sent your unit out with the hinge toot tight. So please do not forget to loosen the hinge a bit. You can do this after your glue is in place and cured. You can watch me do it here.
