If you're looking for a cheaper alternative (that also allows you to charge while it's in use), I use one of these to pair my iPod classic with my Bluetooth portable speaker.

u/brokenskullzero · 16 pointsr/NintendoSwitch

I brought this one instead, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01EHSX28M/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

but the ultra short 3.5mm is a good idea

u/Thatuserguy · 9 pointsr/amazonecho

So I haven't tested this, but I THINK this should actually work for what you want. It does require you buying extra stuff though, and it's certainly not the most cost effective thing in the world either.

First off, you need to buy a 2-way headphone splitter. Plug the male end into the audio out on your Dot. Then buy two bluetooth transmitters that plug into audio ports (like this one or this one).

Those transmitters I linked are able to stream to two bluetooth receivers at once, meaning you can stream to all three of your speakers (and potentially upgrade to four later) just using two transmitters.

Then it's just a matter of pairing the transmitters with your speakers. Theoretically, Alexa should start playing through all of them at the same time if you set it up right. Again, not the most cost effective thing in the world, but it should work, assuming you're using the speakers within range of the transmitters anyways. The transmitters need electricity, so there will be wires regardless though. Sadly not much you can do about that as far as I'm aware.

u/grinomyte · 7 pointsr/Games

Really annoying to me as well.

I bought this:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01EHSX28M

and this:
https://www.jdslabs.com/products/146/ultra-short-3-5mm-interconnect-cable/

along with a bit of 3m tape with the plastic style velcro on it. It' works but it's annoying keeping it charged etc but as someone that uses the switch almost exclusively on planes I find it somewhat mandatory.

u/AFTVnews · 6 pointsr/fireTV

No Fire TV models support pairing two Bluetooth headphones simultaneously. Here are your options.

Option 1) If your TV has a 3.5mm audio out headphone jack, you can connect a Y splitter to it and then connect two wired headphones to the splitter. This is the best option for audio quality because you won't have any audio sync issues since everything is wired, but it does mean running wires to your couch.

Option 2) If your TV has a 3.5mm audio out headphone jack but you don't want to run wires across your room, then you can connect a Bluetooth transmitter (in TX mode) to your TV's headphone jack and then pair two Bluetooth headphones to the transmitter. This is the best option in the sense that you both won't have any wires tethering you, but you risk audio sync issues and you both might be out of sync a different amount.

Option 3) Pair a Bluetooth receiver in RX mode with the Fire TV, then connect a Y splitter to the receiver, and then connect two wired headphones to the splitter. You won't have wires running from the TV to the couch, but you'll both be tethered with wires to the little receiver box on the couch. You might have audio sync issues, but you'll both be equally out of sync.

u/CheekyGoose · 6 pointsr/mkbhd

Not sure how I feel about the headphone jack, because this is a very expensive phone, and if you can afford something like this, you should also be able to afford a decent $100-200 pair of bluetooth headphones/earbuds (or a 3.5mm to bluetooth transmitter to keep in your pocket), but at the same time, the Note is supposed to be that phone that does everything: the Superman of phones.

u/Halvus_I · 5 pointsr/videos

I have this one, does transmit or receive (switchable). It can also connect two devices at once. You can get a transmit only one for about $10 less.

Surprisingly (and I think it’s the receiver I bought), I have very little delay. I was easily able to get through an episode of Silicon Valley in HD using Plex VR even streaming from a remote server and I noticed no delay.

I bought this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01EHSX28M/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_Hqp7Ab964WSFY

u/thetillmiester · 4 pointsr/Gameboy

His link will not work. It literally says Bluetooth receiver. What you want is to "transmit" the audio from you GBC to a speaker or headphones. here is the first one to pop up when I search Bluetooth transmitter on Amazon. They also have some cheaper ones on AliExpress. As long as you get a transmitter it should work. I used mine a couple times but it was kind of bulky and weird hanging there. I thought about trying to mod it into my GBC but never did.

u/carrotpilgrim · 4 pointsr/NintendoSwitch

I've been using this one as you describe:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01EHSX28M/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_0388yb87A3DPX.

It come with cables for USB, aux, 3.5 to RCA. The latency seems very low, and it supports two pairs of headphones simultaneously.

u/AltimaNEO · 4 pointsr/Zune

Zune's USB doesn't output audio, nor does it let you browse the file system. Or at least, it won't without the Zune software on PC, which means car stereos won't detect it.

Your best bet is maybe some kind of headphone jack to Bluetooth adapter like these

I personally use a bluetooth adapter for some of my corded headphones when it comes to mobile devices.
Spmething like this: TaoTronics Bluetooth 5.0 Transmitter and Receiver, 2-in-1 Wireless 3.5mm Adapter (aptX Low Latency, 2 Devices Simultaneously, For TV/Home Sound System) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01EHSX28M/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_hyF2CbRVDYB6C

u/zacware · 4 pointsr/NintendoSwitch

Per another redditor suggestion, I bought a tiny 2 way Bluetooth transmitter/receiver and set it to transmit mode and attached it to the back of the switch with a little removable 3m Velcro strip. It works great. I even use it with my AirPods. You need a low latency device, like this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01EHSX28M/ref=psdcmw_10110414011_t1_B00P24XKS8

Note that it's Bluetooth 4.1 and advertised as low latency.

u/shentheory · 3 pointsr/NintendoSwitch

I designed a 3D printed clip that does exactly this using the slightly smaller TaoTronics 4.1 Transmitter.

u/technoveg · 3 pointsr/pelotoncycle

It isn't a Google problem. It is Peloton using out of date Bluetooth hardware. I picked up a Bluetooth receiver on Amazon for $30 and plugged it in to the audio in on the Google Home Max. I then paired the bike with the receiver, not the speaker. It works flawlessly. The sound is perfectly synced and I can still use voice commands to control the whole setup. The home Max also sounds incredible.

u/GaidinBDJ · 3 pointsr/NoStupidQuestions

If your television has an audio output jack, then you can buy Bluetooth transmitters to plug into that jack.

Something like https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01EHSX28M

u/v0yev0da · 3 pointsr/NintendoSwitch

Wireless headphones are not supported. For that you need a Bluetooth transmitter. Keep in mind chat is not currently supported via Bluetooth headset on Switch.

u/DriveByRandomInfo · 3 pointsr/chromeos

Unless specifically supported by a given Chromebook, no. You'll need an external 3.5mm headphone to Bluetooth Splitter to do that. For example:

u/maz11 · 3 pointsr/RetroPie

It is not worth it. I did struggle through it, but it has a 1 second delay due to HW limitations. If you really want it, get an BT adapter that plugs into the Audio out. Just make sure that dongle and headphones support AptX codec. That allows you to have realtime no lag audio. AptX is not supported by on board bluetooth

I've been using one of these for broadcasting bluetooth audio from my switch. It works pretty well. If you do that and get some persistent buzzing get a ground loop isolator.

It would be ideal if the Switch just had bluetooth audio to begin with, but this has been an okay solution for me so far.

u/AutoGeek3000 · 2 pointsr/apple

Yep, or plug it into the stereo 3.5mm input to receive audio from your phone. There is a switch to go between RX/TX:

http://amzn.com/B01EHSX28M

I've had a few people on the plane ask me how I'm using my Airpods with the seatback system.

u/layl0m0 · 2 pointsr/gadgets

First post coming out of lurking for ages and feel obligated to share as I'm on the same boat, found a Bluetooth transmitter solution on Amazon. Not ideal but for $35 bucks I will be somewhat no auxiliary-future-smartphone ready. Plugs into the aux port in the car and communicates thorough Bluetooth with my phone and tablet.

Direct link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01EHSX28M/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1505427618&sr=8-4&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=bluetooth+transmitter&dpPl=1&dpID=41zxM6mqOcL&ref=plSrch

Could have other less expensive models if you search but this has been reliable for me.

Hope this helps!

I ordered this last year for my Bose QC 30s. I absolutely love it for flying, I've used it several times between LA and NYC and Europe without issue.
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01EHSX28M/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I have yet to try it with my Airpods (I still use the QC 30s when I fly for noise cancellation) but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

u/CBNathanael · 2 pointsr/headphones

> I'm currently using the soundblaster E3.

And just for clarification, it's a receiver, not a transceiver. The only AptX transceivers I've seen will only transmit using AptX, not receive it.

I originally purchased this transceiver and learned that lesson the hard way ;)

Edit: read the description for that unit, and now it's saying it WILL do AptX in receiver mode...weird because mine most definitely does not.

u/dscreations · 2 pointsr/headphones

You could get a bluetooth adapter like this one

u/SlightTower · 2 pointsr/NintendoSwitch

If you're looking for something to use while docked, I'd be sure to check this list before deciding on one. Wireless USB Headsets are definitely not universally working.

If you're looking for something wireless to play in handheld, you'll probably have to pick up a bluetooth transmitter like the Genki one.

You could probably manage both if you get a bluetooth headset and a 3.5mm bluetooth transmitter instead. Those are going to be more unsightly plugged in though.

u/warinthestars · 2 pointsr/audio

You'll probably want to try somthing like this (assuming your TV has a 3.5mm Headphone out: https://www.amazon.com/TaoTronics-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Receiver-Simultaneously/dp/B01EHSX28M/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1502935445&sr=1-4&keywords=bluetooth+transmitter

In terms of audio quality. You're quality will only be as good as it's weakest point. Bluetooth is known more for convenience than audiophile quality.

u/LB311 · 2 pointsr/razerphone

Don’t see any reason as to why Bluetooth doesn’t work, so I can’t help you there but you can try a combination of this and something like this, which can do the Bluetooth stuff for your phone. Not the most elegant solution but it should work for your car.

Edit: for some reason reddit broke hyperlinks completely on both platforms so www.amazon.com/dp/B07LFBCVTY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_nhKLDbC061B5P and www.amazon.com/dp/B01EHSX28M/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_6fKLDbMGM8FX3

u/kevin12423 · 2 pointsr/iPhoneX

Anyone with a car or speakers without USB / Bluetooth do yourself a huge favor and buy one of these. Just plug the 3.5 mm cable into it and the car / speakers and you can connect your phone or whatever electronic through Bluetooth. It's what I used before I had carplay. It's seriously so much better than the shit dongle life.

And with the aptX low latency, I have virtually no sound latency. I'll be using it on my Quest, as well.

u/rmsmoov · 2 pointsr/ShieldAndroidTV

I use the jbl live400bt .

They sound good for the price, the microphone isn't awesome. But bang for buck... pretty good.

If your not after a headset exactly ....
Consider this...

https://www.amazon.com/TaoTronics-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Receiver-Simultaneously/dp/B01EHSX28M

Key thoughts ...
Charge batteries while in use.
Transmit or receive,
Has internal battery.

How i use it
1# add Bluetooth TX to tv, game console, airplane seat, ect...

This is how I connect my bt headphones to the airplane. The seat has USB and audio for sound and charging.
Then your not tethered to the seat with wires everywhere.

Use to transmit to headphones in bed from tv or Media device.

2 add Bluetooth Rx to existing line input devices...to play from phone or Media device.

If your big old home stereo doesn't have Bluetooth.
If your car doesn't have Bluetooth but has line input jack for phone music...( Doesn't work for calls )

u/tinmun · 2 pointsr/sydney

The only way would be to connect the output audio from the TV into something that is capable of transmitting Bluetooth audio.

Something like this guy, or this other guy

u/therfws · 2 pointsr/OculusQuest

I bought an adapter and it works perfectly. If there is any lag I cannot tell at all. It’s very small, adds no weight. Put a small square of Velcro (‘scratchy’ side) on the back and it’ll attach to the side of the quest with the built in ‘soft’ Velcro strip (usually for tightening headband). In a pinch it can also charge from the headset itself with a usbc to micro usb cable (bought separately).

Here is a picture and a link:

Would kind of defeat the purpose of being wireless though.. But this got me thinking that one of those small 3.5mm Bluetooth transmitters might just do the trick nicely! [;]-)

u/hounvs · 2 pointsr/smashbros

Take two seconds to search "aptx aux Bluetooth" on Amazon.

It has nothing to do with firmware. It's a headphone jack, it outputs sound. The same devices also work on a Walkman.

Here's one that I found super quickly without digging into prices, quality, size, or aptx-ll. I'm sure there are better ones:

>TaoTronics Bluetooth 4.1 Transmitter and Receiver, 2-in-1 Wireless 3.5mm Adapter (aptX Low Latency, 2 Devices Simultaneously, For TV/Home Sound System) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01EHSX28M/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_yWKXBbW8Z3HTE

My point is that this is nothing new besides maybe using USB C as the input. The aux ones have existed for more than a decade (though most are the reverse and are Bluetooth receivers).

It's just kinda dumb to back a project on IndieGoGo so that maybe you'll get it in 2 years if they don't just run with the money (since IndieGoGo doesn't have protection against that).

I use this TaoTronics adapter, would highly recommend. Cheap enough (~$30 USD), super small, relatively straightforward setup. I'm pretty casual (current main games are Mario Kart and Tetris 99), but if there is any latency, it's not enough to bother me or even really notice.

so you'll need 2 things: phono pre-amp and a transmitter

a quick Amazon search shows no phono pre-amps with an ADC built in, and the only ones I can find are $150+. something like this Pyle phono stage, paired with this Tao Bluetooth transmitter

the 1Mii transmitter may be a bit better quality wise. it also doesn't require batteries, if that matters

I'm sure there's a better (perhaps all in one) solution than what I've provided, but it should work fine and be easily obtainable via Amazon

u/Biblos_Geek · 2 pointsr/deaf

This is the closest I can think of to making these headphones "wireless":

You need two of these Bluetooth adapters; one set to broadcast from the TV or computer and the other set to receive plugged into the amp.

And this amp runs on batteries so no need to connect to wall outlet - these headphones still have to be directly wired to the amp.

u/Shawn3997 · 2 pointsr/diysound

u/gurnec · 2 pointsr/Steam_Link

You could buy a separate Bluetooth audio transmitter (connected to your TV's audio out) which has support for pairing to two headsets simultaneously, such as one or two. If your headphones support AptX Low Latency, you may want to spend a bit more on something that supports dual pairing and LL at the same time like this one (most with LL can only enable it when a single headphone is paired).

I love my Niu Mini... But I have a question...Does anyone know of a Mini USB -> Bluetooth Transmitter that will work to essentially make it a bluetooth keyboard? Is this a stupid question?I have done similar things with audio and devices like this one https://www.amazon.com/TaoTronics-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Receiver-Simultaneously/dp/B01EHSX28M/ref=sr_1_3?crid=1GCNNAX9HSG2J&keywords=audio+bluetooth+transmitter&qid=1564191386&s=electronics&sprefix=audio+blu%2Celectronics%2C150&sr=1-3

Is anyone aware of a similar device that will transmit a Bluetooth signal for my olkb?

I know I would need to power it someway, but... If feels like something that should totally exist.

u/theotherdanlynch · 2 pointsr/homeautomation

Ok, it's been fun watching people post ridiculous product suggestions for such a simple request, but it's time to actually answer the question. Go buy a pair of something like this:

Then you can use whatever outdoor/waterproof powered speaker you want. Alternately, just get one transmitter and use a waterproof speaker (or two) that has bluetooth built in.

There are hundreds of little dongles like this. I just happen to like the fact that this one can be switched between being a transmitter or a receiver. That gives me a lot of confidence that the devices will work well together. Also, it's capable of transmitting to two different receivers at one time, so you'll be ready when you decide that you also just gotta have audio somewhere else outside.

If this product suggestion gives anyone the urge to indulge in verbal diarrhea regarding bluetooth audio quality, let me proactively advance the discussion by saying, "STFU". Bluetooth audio quality is an order of magnitude better than what's needed for normal outdoor speakers much less speakers that are going to be competing with the noise of a hot tub.
u/DarienStegosaur · 2 pointsr/GooglePixel

There are probably no 3.5mm male to USB-C male cords with a built-in DAC in existence, because it would not work with most headphones unless you got some adapters involved and the Pixel 2 is the only phone it would be necessary for.

Your solutions:

Buy another dongle. Tape or Shrink wrap it to a 3.5mm male to 3.5mm male. Pretend it is a dedicated cord.

Bluetooth Receiver. This is an example of one that supports the aptX HD codec, but any model will work.

So, the way I understand it, the Chromecast Audio only works for audio streams, if it is a video, it will not play the audio via the Chromecast Audio and the Video on a different device. They would probably be out of sync and it would be a terrible experience. What I think you want is a Bluetooth adapter for your home audio system. Like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01EHSX28M/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_nJsPCbTATZGHH . This way, all audio from your GH will be sent through it (GH does not know it is not a speaker) to your home audio system.

u/6x9equals42 · 1 pointr/headphones

This adapter would work with the ipod. Some headphones are Vmoda Crossfade Wireless 2, B&W P7 Wireless, Audio Technica DSR7BT, Bose QC35 (doesn't sound as good as the others, but has noise cancelling)

u/I_want_all_the_tacos · 1 pointr/headphones

Wait, why don't you just get those 2 in 1 transmitter+receiver units like this. You would need 2 of them.

So Reciver headphone output -> 1 unit in transmitter mode -> 1 unit in receiver mode -> headphones

u/Supercharged_Z06 · 1 pointr/HeadphoneAdvice

Nope. No Bluetooth built in. What I love about the Plenue D2 is how damn pure it sounds... no internal circuitry for anything except for producing stellar music output. If you really needed to have the option though, it would be easy enough to just slap a transmitter alongside it for those time you really wanted/needed Bluetooth.

u/SmilingBob2 · 1 pointr/Soundbars

A Bluetooth adapter can plug into the headphone jack and broadcast to multiple speakers. Of course, the TV has to have a headphone jack (some no longer do) and the speakers must be Bluetooth.

Alternatively, you could hookup a bluetooth adapter to the chair and get a bluetooth transmitter for the switch like the genki one or if the tv has bluetooth audio already you just need a bluetooth adapter hooked up to the the chair.

Adapter you would need for chair:

Thanks a lot for suggesting those. I'm not too specific with sound (for games, certainly a little more picky with music) so I'll check out some reviews for the NuForce you mentioned. Also thank you very much for mentioning the aptx-LL codec - that's good information to have.

If you don't mind a follow up question, I'd now like to ask about the Bluetooth Transmitter. Right now I'm using a crappy USB dongle just to pair controllers with my PC. I'm sure that's not what I need in this case. So is this a "transmitter" that you're referring to? And after knowing what I'm looking to achieve with my IEMs, do you have any recommendations? I know you said the transmitter needs to also support aptx-LL, and the one I linked seems to say it has that. But just not sure if it's a good option. Usually the "Amazon Choice" stuff can be sketchy. Also does the Bluetooth version have any impact, say if the IEMs had a lower version and transmitter a higher version, or vice versa? I don't even know if this is a good budget for a transmitter, but I'd be willing to do $50 or less for a transmitter since the IEMs you recommended are only $150.

Thanks a ton for your help!

u/picmandan · 1 pointr/BudgetAudiophile

You can get a BT transmitter to add to the CD player, like this, for example. However, you may have better quality if you can use an aux connection. On the flip side, as this transmitter unit has aptX, so if your receiver accepts that protocol, the sound quality will be pretty good.

u/RC531976 · 1 pointr/audio

This is pretty basic stuff. There won't be a significant difference between the cheapest and most expensive Bluetooth transmitter. Indeed, they likely have the same technology inside.

The "Amazon's Choice" gadget seems pretty nice to me. It can be used as a Transmitter or Receiver, and as a Transmitter, it can be paired with two receivers, etc.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01EHSX28M

Indeed. now that I did the research for you, I am going to buy one for myself. Thanks for the tip! :-)

What I did was buy a transmitter with Bluetooth 5.0 from Amazon like the one below and connect it to the center console auxilary. There is no noticeable lag and the audio comes in louder too

Your best bet would probably be to get a Bluetooth transmitter and attach it to the CD player of your choice. Something like this. It's probably going to be difficult to find a Standalone CD player that has a Bluetooth transmitter in it. You could maybe get a USB Bluetooth transmitter and play cds from a laptop or soemthing. You may also wish to just rip the discs she has into a lossless format, which could then be played from an MP3 player or phone.

u/vairyn · 1 pointr/NintendoSwitch

Not a BT transmitter specifically, but I've had several BT receivers and headsets over the years. I can say at least if you buy something cheap, expect it to perform poorly or not last long. Those transmitters around $30 look like they are middle of the market so you would probably have a decent time with it. As with all things you buy on Amazon though, see what other people say, the one OP mentioned has almost 1000 reviews and it is 4.5 stars. At first glance, that looks like a pretty good one. For more info, check the reviews themselves, since they are written by people who have used that. I think this one is the one OP has, maybe

u/Ynomeikiba · 1 pointr/Switch

I am not sure if Bluetooth transmitters also receive microphone input, but I use a Bluetooth earbud and this transmitter. The latency is low and the quality is good. If you have a Bluetooth headset already it saves some money, otherwise I also use this headset. This one is only one ear, but any headset should work.

I am also uncertain, but I think must USB headsets, even wireless, should work with the study regardless of if it says "Switch compatible," but I have no evidence to back my claim.

I'm looking at a $200-$300 budget for my first system and have settled on an Audio Source AMP100VS 2 Channel amp and Micca MB42X speakers, plus speaker wire and an RCA adapter. I'm considering either just using the RCA adapter to plug into my iphone when I listen, or buying a bluetooth receiver like this. I'd be perfectly content to do this and call it a day, except that I'd worry that using such a receiver and streaming my music would put a low cap on the quality I'd hear and effectively waste the speaker/amp setup - is this fear founded? Is there something I'm missing here? Or will I be mostly fine to go ahead with that plan.

Thanks!

Thanks for the information,

What if I were to do something like this...

Transmitter: Nintendo Switch USB Port -> Avantree Leaf USB Aptx LL Transmitter OR this TaoTronics Transmitter

Receiver: My own FiiO BTR3 clipped onto the headband of my MSR7's (connected by short 3.5mm cable)

- With this setup I assume the connection will be low latency as both transmitter and receiver are APTX LL compatible. Though I have no idea what codec will be chosen by default without an interface to select from.

- If this were to work, how do I pair a bluetooth transmitter/reciever without an interface. Will it automatically pair if both are put in pairing mode at the same time?

u/atari1993 This is your answer - here’s an example from Amazon

u/alwaysneed · 1 pointr/bose

Oh, probably not since apple is evi.l I just assumed it would work with all computers with intel cpu.If you have a 2015 or older mac, you can look at https://www.ifixit.com/Store/Mac/MacBook-Pro-Retina-2015-Airport-Bluetooth-Board/IF123-048?o=1 , it's should be the latest network card used in macbooks before they switched to adding networking to the logic board - it is insanely expensive since it's a proprietary mac component vs. the 9260, which is unlucky. You'll also get better connection for wifi with this. Check to make sure you don't already have this in your mac. Also, not too sure about it's specs. I just searched for newest networking card incase yours is fairly old. It's probably Bluetooth 4.0, which shouldn't be an issue since the headphones don't have the best BT either. The new chips, just ensure that your networking card isn't causing the bottleneck. Also, helps with increasing BT range and stability.

Audio only bluetooth 5.0 adapters are a lot cheaper, do some more research into the products before buying, since I just pulled the first two from amazon that were mac compatible.

This one seems more convenient as it's not dangling from the 3.5m audio port on your computer, like the 2nd one.

The PS4 Gold wireless headset works.

A few others that use 2.4ghz USB dongles also work, but I seem to have lost my saved list.

If you wanted to use a bluetooth headset you would need a USB adapter like this one from Creative or a 3.5mm bluetooth transmitter. For transmitters like these you want to be sure they support aptX low latency transmission.

There are actually tons of different devices for your purpose. The cheapest, most practicable solution would be this transmitter/receiver hybrid from Taotronics. Just plug it into your old TV/audio system, put it into transmitting mode and connect it with your speaker.

u/kasmog · 1 pointr/HeadphoneAdvice

Does your PC have built in Bluetooth? If not, then you'll want to get a [Bluetooth transmitter] (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01EHSX28M/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_GH6IDbPS18TFF) . I've had good experience with that brand's Bluetooth receiver, I turned some of my headphones wire using it.

Bluetooth generally has worse sound quality compared to wired. Will you be able to tell the difference? That I don't know.

Hey there. Sorry for the delay since I was traveling. I tried the earbuds out at Sony Store Ginza during the Headphone Park event and was impressed. They didn't seem to mask as much noise as my QC35, BUT I was also using the silicon eartips. I didn't have a chance to try to foam.

I was impressed by how light they were and that they didn't fall out when I shook my head -- Apple wireless AirPods and wired EarPods don't fit my ears well and always fall out. I'd imagine they're more comfortable in lie-flat business to sleep with than the QC35.

I've also resigned to lack of aptX and LDAC. I think AAC and SBC will be fine since it probably means better range, improved connectivity, and longer battery life. FWIW, QC35 also lacks aptX and LDAC, and I only listen to podcasts with Google Podcasts and Overcast by Marco Armeny, listen to music with Google Play Music / YouTube Music, and watch video streaming like YouTube TV, YouTube Premium, Netflix, HBO NOW, etc. The devices I use are Apple iPad Pro 10.5, Google Pixel 3a XL and OnePlus 7 Pro.

Yes, I pre-ordered on Amazon for $185 (lower cost than Sony Ginza Duty Free 25880¥ or $240) with a few promotions I had ($5 Amazon gift card credit, $10 Whole Foods credit and a discount with use of 1 American Express Membership Reward point). Sony WF-1000XM3 Industry Leading Noise Canceling Truly Wireless Earbuds, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07T81554H/

I also snagged a Bluetooth transceiver during Prime Day that seemed to have numerous decent reviews. It'll come in handy for IFE. $23.11 was the lightning deal. TaoTronics Bluetooth 5.0 Transmitter and Receiver, 2-in-1 Wireless 3.5mm Adapter (aptX Low Latency, 2 Devices Simultaneously, For TV/Home Sound System) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01EHSX28M/

Just in case, I also bought some foam eartips during Prime Day that seemed to be a good value. I hope they fit. $5.59 was the lightning deal. 12Pcs Replacement Eartips- RIYO Premium Memory Foam Earphone Earbuds Tips Noise Reducing Earbud Tips for 5mm-7mm in-Ear Headphones Nozzle (Large, Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071NJQ6J3/

QUESTION FOR YOU: Is QC20 noise canceling better than QC35? I've always understood that it was, but the QC35 seems to be more popular since it's wireless.

Also there is no Echo Gen 3 yet, there is an Echo Dot gen 3, though.

As far as I know none of the Echo devices have an audio input.

There do exist devices that can transmit over Bluetooth from an audio source, such as this whihc comes with an RCA-3.5mm adapter, although you could get probably any other BT transmitter and a separate RCA-3.5mm adapter.

u/wlkmnplgn · 1 pointr/BudgetAudiophile

If I get it rigth, your TV doesnt have Bluetooth, and your receiver doesn't have HDMI or Bluetooth and you want to connect them wirelessly?
You could try two of these "https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01EHSX28M/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_Ti6JAbG15DDKV"
One on your TV as transmitter and one on your sound system as receiver.

u/farptr · 1 pointr/raspberry_pi

The RPi doesn't have audio input or HDMI input. If you want to get audio out of the Yamaha via the HDMI connection then you'll need a HDMI audio extractor box. Plug that into a Bluetooth aptx transmitter. aptx is much better quality than regular Bluetooth audio but you need to make sure the transmitter and your speakers support it.

You need the HDMI audio extractor anyway if you want to get the audio from the HDMI cable. It is easier to just use a purpose built Bluetooth aptx transmitter than dealing with the RPi. You'll probably have much better latency as well.

Buy 2 dongles and keep them plugged into the car / headphones. Voila...problem solved. People just love complaining and act like it’s the end of the world.

For your car, get something like this and keep it in the car, will make your aux cable Bluetooth and you never have to plug it in again.

Also your friend is dumb and you should never listen to his tech suggestions. A billion ways to add bt to any car regardless of type. And most people just keep the dongle plugged into whatever they use so no worry about losing it.
