That comic pissed me off. There were years worth of Teen Titans Go! books that came out. The whiner who drew that comic wasn't buying them.

Yes, for the most part. The Teen Titans originally appeared in the mid-1960s, but really hit their peak in the 1980s. A couple years ago, DC rebooted continuity, so none of that 'happened,' but there's a new series carrying on. There's also explicitly out-of-continuity stuff like Tiny Titans and the TV show tie-in Teen Titans Go!.
Same thing for Young Justice.
