That's one of the major problems right there. USB WiFi adapters in general aren't that great. They are tiny which means small antennae, which means they won't get strong signal to begin with. On top of that, however, this dongle is USB 2.0, which means it is half duplex, which means it can't send and receive data at the same time. So I wouldn't expect to get good performance from this thing under any circumstance.

If you want a cheap USB WiFi adapter, at least get a USB 3.0 one. A PCIe card would be better, if your motherboard has a free slot for it.
