I've been listening to stuff in that area (West Coast/Cool etc) too, lately. For more in that vein, be sure to catch the Gerry Mulligan Quartet (with Baker). Also Stan Getz - there's a very good set with Baker called West Coast Live. Also terrific collections of Getz on Clef & Norgran and on Roost, as well as later bossa nova stuff.

Slightly further afield, you might want to look into Lennie Tristano and Lee Konitz, and maybe '50's Miles Davis. Maybe George Russell? Like this?
