Just want to point out it's $9.99 on amazon right now. Also, I'm pretty sure this is a steam works title, if someone would like to confirm.
Nice post! It looks like you posted the body of it three times though on the 7/28 prices:

If you live in the US, it's on sale at Amazon for $12.49

Just so you know, darkness II is already on sale at amazon for $12.49 (75% off)
Cheaper on Amazon and activates on Steam. Link
Edit: Should say the price is $9.99 on Amazon
FYI: you can get a steam key from Amazon for $10 here: http://www.amazon.com/2K-Games-40884Darkness-II2-Darkness/dp/B006JA7EWW
I can say that posting the deals on here has caused me to purchase more of my PC games through Amazon. So far my experience has been very positive.
As for how to get more Steam consumers to purchase a game through Amazon, one thing that would help is if on Amazon product pages there was a standardized way of telling if a game is Steamworks. Risen 2, for example, states "Steam account required for game activation and installation." However, based on the only Risen 2 discussion post of Steam?", I'm going to assume people easily miss that part of the description. 2K games like The Darkness 2 mention it, but in a different place under "Additional Info." Again there is a discussion post on that product about steam.
Some games though, like Fallout: New Vegas, don't mention Steam anywhere in the description other than the community product tags and the discussion posts.
It seems like the descriptions are supplied by the manufacturers, but it would be helpful if Amazon had a standardized way of searching for all Steam games. I wouldn't be surprised that if there was a Top 20 Steamworks Games page on Amazon that it would mimic to some degree the Top 20 directly on Steam.
Right now, as far as I know, the only way to search for that is to do a product tag search for 'steam' or 'steamworks,' and even then I'm trusting the community instead of Amazon.
I'm sure there are limitations to what can and can't be changed on an Amazon page (I don't know, just a guess), but being able to view all Steamworks games would be helpful. Maybe even create a new product category for all DRM types that I can search by, such as what is done by specialized PC download sites like Gamersgate and GreenManGaming.
Just my thoughts! Otherwise I am really impressed with Amazon's pre-order discounts and sales.
I highly suggest selecting Assassin's Creed Revelations because you can right now get the Darkness II on Amazon for 75% off, the same price it would be on Steam if it wins, and it is Steam activated. Revelations hasn't really had a big discount that I've seen. This deal would knock the price down to around $15
Rage on the other hand is not even in the running. The game was a disappointing POS.
buy it from amazon.

Edit: Also, Darkness II is on sale on Amazon for $12.50 and Steam redeemable, yet you're asking for games that are $20-30.
Well, as I said, it's $12.50 an Amazon at the moment (if you're in the US).
It's a really fun game and the art is quite appealing, but as others have said there isn't a hell of a lot of replay value.
That said, if you're asking because of the sale vote, it's on sale on Amazon for just as cheap as if it would win and since it's Steamworks, Steam is a requirement to install.
