Anyone who is interested in mescaline should read Aldous Huxley's trip report, The Doors of Perception. It's a favorite in my druggie library.

I wouldn't say its just some kid with a 'wild imagination.' I think its more than that. Many alien abduction cases report a face coming through a wall, and talking to the 'victim.' Others report small children inside the bedroom, or even a glowing orb or energy that moves around within the bedroom. It sounds nutty but I read into it and I do believe there is some unexplained phenomenon going on.

Please watch Dr. Karla Turner's lectures on this phenomenon. Sadly she died in 1996 of a fast acting cancer. She was 48.

John Mack, Pulitzer Prize Winner and Harvard psychiatrist, stated that it was not the 'imagination of the victim' but a real phenomenon. Sadly he died in 2004 while walking alone by a drunk driver.

Also, the chemical DMT, which is naturally secreted in your brain, particularly your pineal gland, can give an onset of visions, transporting you to another dimension. Please look into Dr. Rick Strassman's work 'DMT: The Spirit Molecule.' Ancient cultures used to drink 'Ayahuasca,' a DMT based plant mixture that Amazonians used in order to be in an altered state of consciousness (ASC). While in this state of consciousness, people report meeting with 'alien entities,' elves, fairies, praying mantis, seeing alien worlds, as well as common visions.

For example, people totally unrelated, disconnected from each other, are seeing the same visions such as 'jaguars,' 'being in a hospital room with advanced machinery, accompanied by a tall Praying Mantis (8ft).' Other visions include black people dancing around a fire, as well as seeing a vision of a Roman era boat filled with slaves manning the oars.

Semi-professional artist here. I've been making art literally since I was 3 (or maybe just never stopped.) I've been involved in making art, or art industry all my life.

> I wonder if there is people that are capable of having the level of art appreciation that we have under LSD

Kinda, yes, though art appreciation is all about being able to understand and delve into a variety of mental perspectives, which is what LSD does as well, though in a very different way. Artists are tuned into that 'LSD perspective' space already when it comes to art, but LSD can make an artist see art in a new light as well.

Case in point: When had my first trip, I finally understood all trippy art. I had never really understood what the big deal was with psychedelic art. Though I didn't actually see any art that day, I had enough perspective and background that I didn't need it to put the psychedelic art I had in my head into context. Also, I had always struggled with color, (I'm mostly a pencil/pen figure artist.) Now I get it psychedelic art. I'm also experimenting with color a whole lot more.

Mescaline gave me a similar insight, though I 'dedicated' that trip to learning more about creativity because I was going through a dry spell. (BTW, mescaline is awesome, super gentle, but a looooong trip.) I remember being at my friend's house and he had an abstract on the wall. I had struggled with abstracts until that day and now I appreciate. There was a blue streak I never paid any mind to before, but on mescaline, it had incredible depth, I swear I was looking into an ocean. It was amazing.

So yes, psychedelics can deepen the perspective and appreciation for art for anyone. Go to a museum (a good one) and trip on a relatively mild dose and you'll see so much. Also read Doors of Perception by Aldous Huxley. He had a very similar experience to yours.
