"I mean good for them for being delusional if they're happy"

TFW you see someone almost get it, but not quite. Like a good shoot at soccer where the ball almost scratches the goalpost and the crowd goes "Yeeeeee... ahhhhh....."

Happiness isn't something that "comes upon you", it's something you make. It's a process, not a result. YOU create your happiness by managing your internal workings. Stoics, Buddhists and Gretchen Rubin are aware of that. So those "normies" seem to have mastered the art of happiness; maybe that's something to learn from them?

I read a book called The Happiness Project

The author pretty much comes up with a ton of things that she thinks may improve her happiness. Self-improvement, helping others, fun activities, more sleep. There are a lot of things to do. She kinda realizes during the book that just trying these things and setting goals that you can accomplish, can make you happier.

I highly recommend The Happiness Project. If your wife is goal oriented, then this is a perfect book. It helps you to take little steps and make little changes at a time and create your own happiness with what you already have in your life. It’s an easy read with lots of practical information and many suggestions that I found very helpful. It also isn’t pushy with the suggestions, as the author writes mostly about her own experiences using this method. Either way, it’s a great read! I hope this helps!
