I'm reading The Broken Kingdoms right now, which is the second book in The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms fantasy trilogy, and I'm not kidding when I say it's probably the best treatment of homosexuality I've ever seen in any series of books.
Homosexuality is treated as so completely normal that nobody even remarks on it. There are gods who have homosexual relationships, tons of people do, and the very beginning of the second book even has a polyamorous relationship (2 guys and a girl), and it's mentioned as part of the character, but not pointed out as anything odd.
Basically, it's just really mature. Guys love guys, or girls (and vice versa), and it's never a novelty, nor fanservice; homosexual characters are just as prevalent and just as integral to the world as heterosexual characters.
It's also just a great series of books- extremely well-written. I got into it because it was on quite a few "top ten fantasy books of 2010" lists.

btw if you're looking for something different in the fantasy realm, I read The Hundred Thousand Kindoms recently and it was fantastic. Just finished the sequel, can't wait for the final book!
