They take place right in between TES IV and IV and range all over Tamriel and Oblivion. It's about all I could have hoped for from a TES novel.

Also, you find out a possible origin for the Sleeping Tree in Skyrim.

I'm assuming you have read the first book of the series The Infernal City. If not you will be very confused just jumping into the second book
