I donno if it’s been suggested here before....

I highly recommend a book by Chizu Saeke that came out a few years ago.

It’s a quick, non-preachy or alarmist read that keeps things simple with a focus on how the Japanese culture prioritizes moisture to combat aging and why it works and how to do it well.

Japanese skin care is pretty simple and not necessarily costly. I highly recommend the book to anyone who pays attention to their skin.

No pushing of products or procedures either. No pressure to spend on luxury or trends. No requirement to buy Asian products only.

I was really into the whole japanese skin care routine as well. you know the whole cleanse-lotion-serum-moisturizer deal. The only piece of advice worth listening to when taking on this many products is to find the ones that work for YOU and that work WITH EACH OTHER or else your skin will go into a panic and break out or react in some other negative way. Do some research. I recommend Chizu Saeki's book. You don't have to buy it really because the amazon site has a hefty preview of the book online . check it out

I just started getting into SCA, but I'm trying to delve into AB because I think they are simply better at it. I read the Chizu Saeki book (https://www.amazon.com/Japanese-Skincare-Revolution-Have-Beautiful/dp/1568364067) and I'm trying to do as much of her methods as I can. The wierdest thing for me is that I don't wear any makeup and everyone makes makeup a huge part of the routine

I'm considering buying The Japanese Skincare Revolution by Chizu Saeki, does anyone have experience with this book and, given the resources of this subreddit, is it worth purchasing? Thanks!

Edited to correct author name.

You can actually massage your face into a slightly different shape. I know that sounds hokey, but entire books have been written on the subject: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Japanese-Skincare-Revolution-Have-Beautiful/dp/1568364067

For you, it looks like one eyebrow is lower then the other, so I would take two fingers, pressing upwards on the lower brow, while squinting or furrowing your brow muscles downwards. If you do it every night for a few weeks, you'll notice a difference! or whenever you're on reddit :p
