I see other people have already chimed in on the egg issue, so I'll offer my input on the other points.
2: I've really only learned to cook the past couple years, after being vegan for over 10, so it's definitely possible, haha. If you want to learn, my advice would be to get a cookbook aimed at kids. It feels a little silly, but the recipes are usually perfect for beginners. I learned from this one. It's not completely vegan, bu a lot of it is and it's easy to follow along with.
3: Yep! A lot of the time I'm completely out of these things so I just skip over them or sub something else with kind of a strong savory flavor. Celery, smoked paprika, whatever.
4: Cravings can be tricky, but they fade in time. If you feel one coming on you should eat something, they tend to go away on a full stomach. Keep some kind of junky snacks on hand so you can indulge without having to go for animal products.
