A word of warning. I jumped on one of these deals in the past and Amazon sent me [this] (https://www.amazon.com/Lord-Rings-Picture-Fellowship-Extended/dp/B004HEWNBO) version of the box set which was just a cardboard sleeve holding the three blu-ray cases, with English and French writing on the box.
They are totally worth it, this is the set I watch most. I'm a huge fan of The Appendices they are imo as good at the films themselves
Yes you can get the extended editon in Blu Ray. But the bonus feature discs are still DVD quality, probably because the behind-the-scenes stuff was filmed in 1999 on standard definition cameras.
Is it the same extended edition as this one on amazon.ca? It's cheaper on amazon.ca (it's in canadian dollars).
