I take it you disagree with the conclusions of the majority in the Heller ruling? I've done quite a bit of research on the meaning of the second amendment and I believe Scalia got it absolutely right in Heller.
The national guard isn't the militia anyway (even if the militia act of 1903 calls it the organized militia), the militia doesn't get deployed to Iraq. The militia was, and is, all men of fighting age.
