This book has changed many lives and including mine. It is my most recommended book.

Thanks, I need to work on that. I've just been in desperate prayer. PTSD flashbacks are insane.

Reminds me of "Practicing the Presence" and talking with God throughout the day.

36, feeling a lot of the same things. I've done a lot of wrong things carrying the banner of Christian while trying to treat problems with alcohol/medications. To what degree did I not love Him by not obeying Him? I am in desperate need of grace/full pardon. I have been a very bad example.

I have to run to the Psalms and Praise and Worship music or I go mentally ill quickly.

But really, realize the love of Jesus to die for you and take that wrath of a holy God which I believe is MUCH worse than any physical pain posssible. Have that love overflow into love for others. Seek ways to serve others with no strings attached, that's love. Find the suffering and end that suffering. How many elderly are sitting alone in hospital beds? If even one family in every church took in a foster child, there would be no foster children left needing a home in the US for example. We often aren't simply loving those suffering, those disabled, those in prison because we feel they deserve it. Those in prison are the very ones who realize they don't have security in material things and know they need a Savior.

Or cleaning dishes to the love of God like the Brother Lawrence (amazing book) - https://www.amazon.com/Practice-Presence-God-Brother-Lawrence/dp/0883681056

It is a very deep concept that has seen a lot of spiritual authors try to describe, so I don't want to do them injustice by trying to explain it in too much in a reddit comment. The most famous example:

Here's the best video i can find of him describing it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PaqHdr--234
