Hey,

God loves you.

If you have such an inability to focus, you may have some attention problems that medicine may be able to help. (I'm also not a medical doctor)

However, some solid advice, no matter what you're dealing with would be to read the Bible and pray to God about it. Also discuss with fellow believers (as you're asking for advice here).

None of us are perfect here, and many of us also have intrusive thoughts - I know that I do. I don't feel the need to judge myself for them and constantly apologize and feel bad for them, so long as they pass relatively quickly. You can't stop it, so stop beating yourself up over it. It sounds like you may have a desire to control your every thought and emotion, which just isn't possible. This seems relevant.

God can give you his peace, which it seems you really could use. It's not necessary to be painfully legalistic, if you start doing something that God doesn't approve of, he'll let you know in some way or another. At the same time, if something is obviously against God's will, try to avoid it. I know that God is sharing in your pain of what you're going through right now.

Lastly, this is a book that is helping me tremendously to understand what being a Christian is all about, and what life is meant to be used for: The Purpose Driven Life: What on Earth Am I Here For? by Rick Warren

>What is the actual point

The point is to discover a purpose for yourself, and then to continue to achieve that purpose. Check out Purpose-driven Life from a library or on Kindle for a full explanation.

I think this solves your question.

Sure thing!

Yes, I experienced the post-workout urges before also. Personally, I found it helpful to just MO in these situations, because it gets rid of the need to look at porn.

Church is a definitely a good place to find community, if you can find a good one. I personally think that the question "Why are we here?" is an important one that all of us should consider at some point. Personally, I believe that God created us for a loving relationship with himself, and others. Rick Warren does a good job elaborating on this in his book "What on Earth am I Here For?".

Another place you could look for to find community is Sex Addicts Anonymous.

Best of luck in your journey, my friend.
