The collective unconscious is shaped by these collective forces some of which go way down our genetic and sociological lines. From Jung's point of view I am sure it was more coined based upon the fact that these archetypes are found in most all of his patients. Though he did admit that one must look at the patients culture to determine true definition for them as there is some fluidity.

I've had some but i tend not to notice much for myself. My wife on the other hand seems to have a permanent death watch spell on her. She gets sick every time someone close to her dies. Just the other day she had cold like symptoms. Which lessoned greatly as soon as her childhood pet died, so i believe there is something there for some people. I have a strong intuition myself but I am not so connected.

I don't think synchronicity represents a landmark in one's process of individuation although I guess in some cases it could. I see it more as a strange circumstance from the existence of the collective unconscious.

The first two in particular are extremely accurate. In my life it has never been wrong. To size up a person all I need is their birthday and i'll have a great at a glance breakdown of them. From there I can also get a good idea of how I will interact with them based upon relationships. I don't believe that we are controlled by the stars but rather that we are shaped by time, place, season, and circumstance.
