That does look like a really good product. For my money though, this cold headband is less than 1/5 the cost and it's met my needs well. I keep 2 at home, 1 at work and 1 at my girlfriends house.

Covering the eyes is probably great sometimes, but I can put this on at the first hint of migraine and wear it no matter what else I'm doing. I'll usually start wearing one of these long before I resort to dark room rest

My doctor gave me 800mg ibuprofen to take with my rizatriptan. Some studies show that when combined it actually boosts the effectiveness. Rizatriptan on its own wasn’t that effective, but together it did the job.

Also, my head gets hot so I use an head-wrap ice pack

I lived on Excedrin Migraine before getting pregnant. When I'm getting a migraine now (I get the typical "aura" so I know it's coming) I take two Tylenol and drink some soda. Then I sit with an ice pack head and on for about 30 mins. This has worked each time and stopped me from progressing into full blown migraine. This is the ice pack I use It was the first thing I bought when I found out I was pregnant. It looks silly but has been a life saver.

Hmm, fascinating. I haven't tried heat yet, as I normally despise being warm and feel like, in general, being warmer makes me feel more headache-y and queasy, but maybe a specific rice pack would help, I'm going to try it! Otherwise, I've done ice on my forehead or back of the neck, and that seems to help. Even asked for one of THESE goofy-looking things for Christmas!

Ice is the best!

You should look into strap-on headbands that you can put ice packs in, or something like this. Having a thing to hold it onto your head, leaving you with both hands free and full mobility, is such a game changer.

This is a good suggestion. I have one of these in my freezer already for normal migraines. Maybe I should order a second one so I can continually swap them out...

I also had heat intolerance as a very early symptom. I loved summer as a kid, and 5 years ago, I thought I was dying. It felt like I was carrying weights on my arms and legs. I thought I was having a stroke, because I wasn't making any sense when I was speaking.
Now that I know this about myself, I am super careful on the subway, and being outside in general. I use these headbands, and honestly, they are awesome. I highly recommend them to anyone who has heat intolerance.
