I got a two pack of these and they are amazing

That said, before I got them I found that the brim of my trucker didn’t really impact the light from my headlamp too much

I'd recommend an Osprey if you're in the market for a new pack, but that's another conversation.

Anyway, When I take multi day backpacking trips this is pretty much what I take:

1. Hennessey hammock
   
2. lighters
   
3. liquor (helps to get drunk, start fires, and sterilize wounds)

   and also a spare flashlight and of course a hat.
   
5. knife
   
6. mallome cookware set
   
7. sleeping bag
   
8. chapstick, vasoline, visine, TP and a small pack of baby wipes (needing any of these things and not having them will cause you a miserable trip)
   
9. water filter
   thats the basics, obviously not counting food, fresh sock, fishing supplies.
