I'm willing to keep an open mind.
Do you have any resources you could send my way where evo-psych isn't being used to reinforce gender stereotypes, isn't directly in conflict with evolutionary biology 1 2 isn't in conflict with the science of human cognition 1 2 and doesn't have it's various leading voices promoting that "rape is (in the vernacular of evolutionary biology) an adaptation, a trait encoded by genes that confers an advantage on anyone who possesses them" or that "homophobia is a natural adaptation" ( while also arguing that homosexuality in men is a birth defect passed on to boys by exceptionally Androphilic mothers) or asserting that there is a "universal human nature" 1 2 3 4 5 6 ?
I've seen a lot of evo-psych "theories" I have yet to see one which isn't based largely on assumptions or is actually falsifiable. It's possible I just haven't seen the good side of evo-psych so I am happy to look at any anyone can find !
