Dooooon’t use kimwipes. If you’re going to try and clean them, please buy actual lens tissue. Kimwipes have abrasive cotton fibers, that can scratch your lens. Lens paper is not terribly expensive. Also, that Zeiss guide is great if you really want to get into it, but general cleaning is done well with some Sparkle lens cleaner. Do not confuse it with Sparkle glass cleaner. Micro fiber cloths are also only good for 1-2 cleanings before they no longer pass the flashlight test (angled light on the lens will show any hard to see residue)

lens paper are great 1 time use cleaning items that you place over the microfiber cloth, then wipe the lens, after cleaning all dist and visible particles off of the lens using air and if needed, a lens safe brush.

For me, this has allowed me to clean lenses to the same state as when they were new.

Just remember, place the lens paper over the microfiber cloth and do not use your fingers on the lens paper directly, and if the lens is dirty, eg water splashes on it or something, then after removing any large particles, and using proper moist lens wipes, then the lens paper works great as a final finishing touch to get any last bit of residue.

If your lens will be exposed to the world, then it will get dirty, even if you are very careful, the air is just not 100% clean, so early on, make sure you have something to clean the lens.
