I started wearing one for work when I found myself getting twitchy in meetings and other circumstances where it would be impolite to pull out a cell phone or crane my neck to see a clock. I now am uncomfortable if I leave the house and forget it.
I have sturdy wrists so dainty watches don't work for me at all. My daily watches are a Nixon Kensington in all gold, and a two-tone Timex men's Easy Reader, both bought on sale. I will probably upgrade at some point in the future, now that I know that I am a committed watch wearer.
Honestly, I get the most compliments of any watch I own when I wear this simple Timex Weekender, and because it's so cheap, you can afford to buy a couple of other bands to add versatility. They're clean, go with pretty much every outfit, and work fine.
Personally, I prefer the Timex Easyreader.

On the fence about these boots and which color to get them in. I think I prefer the tan leather, but am not sure if they would be as versatile as the other options.
Also, could the tan leather match with this watch?
Things that I would personally do differently: not that shirt with those jeans. Black jeans/khaki's and we'll talk. Pockets are too big. Lose the pocket watch, get a simple watch instead. Shoes look clown-sized, ditch that, I'd go for slimmer shoes (Puma style), or desert boots. And for the love of god, unless you're going to a glow party or something, don't match your laces to your shirt: do you want people to look up to your face, or at your feet?

That's perfectly fine - besides, there is no need to put out a lot on a watch before you know what you like. Here are some suggestions, if they aren't your style, let me know what you prefer.
Also, remember that with watches like the Easy Readers you can switch out the straps and really change the look of the watch.
As for your aviators, you can pick up some knock-off Aviators for cheaper, but in my opinion, sunglasses are something that are worth the $100 or so for a decent pair. In part because of quality, but mostly because you want a relatively decent lens that gives you protection from UV light.

What about the Timex Easy Readers for $30? Not the greatest watch, but they fit these styles and are half the price.

Timex - This is the first pair of watch I got. I think it looks really nice and it's very versatile. It's cheap, easy to read, it even has a backlight for dark areas.
I'd like to second the easy reader, as a super skinny dude myself. I just bought this one, with a brown strap and it sounds a lot like what you're looking for, OP. Also it's super cheap.

It's actually the one that came with the watch. It's this one, I think.
This is the watch I have. I love it. It was cheap as far as watches go, and it still looks classy in my opinion.

Yea ive checked them out and decided on something like this. I'm not sure about a watch that's the thing, I'm only 17 and not sure if it will go with the slightly more juvenile look I've got going on
