Finally snagged the Timex Flyback. Came out to $57.74.

u/walking18 · 5 pointsr/malefashionadvice

This is a tad over $60, but I love it. I've received a lot of compliments on this watch.

I think Timex shines in the $100-and-less category. the Timex Weekender is well regarded (if loud), and I love the look of my intelligent quartz for casual/weekend use.

u/scuderia_Rosso · 3 pointsr/Watches

Lately I've been getting very tempted by the Timex itillegent quartz flyback chronograph.

u/faptologic · 3 pointsr/malefashionadvice

It's on amazon now. But no discount yet.

There seems to be other variations in T2N700DH/AW/AU.. don't know what it means, region code maybe?

u/fiadiana · 3 pointsr/Watches

Timex Expedition Scout Chronograph. Also comes in tan and blue faces. I think this is one of the best deals in the budget watch category. The looks are rugged and handsome, the chrono is useful, and the Indiglo backlight rocks.

Here is another version

The Timex Intelligent Quartz Fly-back Chrono is great too.

Hm. I like the one in the gif better thank this one.

Do you know how I could search for it instead?

Timex T2N700 Intelligent Quartz Fly-Back Chronograph

Very little wear and in great shape. Bought it because it was a great deal, but just hasn't cracked my rotation. Selling at a good discount, as it's currently going for $85 on Amazon (cheapest I can find).

Will ship to anywhere in continental U.S. and provide tracking info. Venmo preferred. Thanks all!

Honestly, I'm going to go against the grain here and mention some other really nice looking watches for just a few dollars more.

This casio world time is slightly above your price range, but is a really nice watch, from a reputable brand. It has dual time zones, and is radio-synced for guaranteed accuracy.

While everybody is mentioning the seiko 5, I much prefer the look of the Orient watches.

There's also Some timex chronos that I think look absolutely gorgeous, and are within your budget.

u/CornerSka · 2 pointsr/malefashionadvice

That would be the timex intelligent quartz flyback chronograph.

Here it is on Amazon.

It appears that it's currently $150-165 at all retailers, however I remember buying it for $90. I'm unsure whether or not it goes on sale very often.

u/Citizen_V · 2 pointsr/Watches

This Timex Intelligent quartz (Amazon) has a similar color scheme, and is also a chronograph. It's own design too and not a homage to anything, if it matters to you.

EDIT: Parnis makers do have a homage to it.

u/Thestigsfatcousin · 2 pointsr/Watches

Honestly, I think what you get depends a great deal on your guys. You know them, we don't. That said, I'd be just as happy with this as I would be with the Seiko. Is the Seiko the "better" brand? Perhaps. But in that price-range, I feel like you would be just as well served by some of Casio's and Timex's offerings. I would also echo /u/Alex7302 and recommend Orient as an alternative brand to consider. I love mine.

Best of luck with your decision, and congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

It's the T2N700.

u/fragilestories · 1 pointr/Watches

How about the Timex SL Intelligent Chrono series? I just bought one and I find them very unique, and a good value at the price range. They come in a variety of styles and colors, too. On amazon, they're mostly $100-150, so you should be able to find one in your price range.

I'm looking to buy a watch that I can use everyday -formal,casual setting with minimal maintenance. I haven't used a watch in years so there may be times when I won't use a watch. Based on the buying guide, I feel a Quartz watch may be better suited for me than an Automatic. I can't really finalize a watch from the list. Your advice/recommendations will help!

Hey guys. New to the sub, but lurker for a bit.

Grabbed this Timex https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0053EXKFK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

And love how it looks, but I want to replace the strap. I've been looking everywhere, including Timex' site, and can't find the actual size of the strap or where I can buy better ones (I didn't dig any of the ones on the Timex site). Any advice?

u/plasticslug · 1 pointr/Watches

This is the band from a timex intelligent Quartz watch. Yea take it off that formal garbage, this is a great tool /Explorer watch once you dress it down a bit.

> Timex intelligent quartz flyback chronograph

I was interested enough to look up the timex web page. Seems to come in a variety of colors.

Sample Amazon link here.

I was looking into getting a watch and had this in mind. I'm not very knowledgeable in the watch market. How does this compare to similarly priced items? Any in particular that might be better? I'm looking for a watch that I can wear in various situations and settings.

u/praetordave · 1 pointr/Watches

How about the Timex Intelligent Quartz Flyback? This is a really cool looking watch, it has indiglo (lights up on-demand), comes in a bunch of different colors (the black looks super cool), and would look decent on a nato strap. Plus, I'm pretty sure it would be in your price range, with the conversion.

u/WordOfMadness · 1 pointr/Watches

Pretty sure they're discontinued. Here's one with the same dial, but just a chrono instead of perpetual calendar. They have a few other colour combinations.

u/luckynumberpi · 1 pointr/Watches

Repost from an old comment of mine, but still relevant.

I originally got started with a Citizen Eco-Drive chrono. Mine still runs after 10+ years, and looks great on a black leather strap with white stitching.

It's solar powered, and Citizen's solar tech is crazy good. After a year in a box it starts ticking the moment it comes out, and with regular exposure to light it'll just keep going. No battery changes needed, and it has quartz precision. Like I said, mine is over 10 years old.

That's where I recommend starting – simple, hands-off operation. Only once you've started to develop a budget and a more genuine appreciation should you venture into the land of automatics. Going to college you definitely want to be on time, and you don't want to have to care about setting the watch every time you don't wear it for a few days.

Though I don't own any myself, Timex is a reputable low-cost vendor to consider as well. Their Expedition series is nice, as well as the some what odd Flyback. If you happen to be into pure digitals, then Casio is the king.

u/condor_gyros · 1 pointr/Watches

Timex T2N700 is also a decent choice. Most of their Intelligent Quartz line look pretty sharp, and are good crossovers between dress and rugged.

Good afternoon r/watchexchange

Looking to sell my Timex Fly-back Chronograph.

Purchased off eBay about 3 months ago; loved the design and functionality of it, but I am currently trying to move away from quartz movements. Specs are included in the Amazon link below:

Timex Men's T2N700 Intelligent Quartz Fly-Back Chronograph Brown Leather Strap Watch https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0053EXKFK/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_BGbxDbXHKA5AF

This particular model is not for sale anymore; but the closest model retails for $93.

Band was replaced with a darker leather one to suit the watch better.

I am looking for 70 shipped CONUS. Thanks for looking.

u/bly2425 · 1 pointr/malefashionadvice

Can't go wrong with this

u/EggsnBakey · 1 pointr/malefashionadvice

Ebay? Timex website? I can't imagine that you can't get it in the states. Usually this is the other way around.

Here?

EDIT: Oh dear lol.

u/SAIUN666 · 1 pointr/malefashionadvice

Another option that looks similar is the Timex T2N700.

The Danish Design and Timex were two of most unique ones in that list i made. The Skagen is very good, i own two of them and they are nice, robust watches. The hardened crystal on my 809XLTTM has been hit on rails and door handles and still doesn't have a nick in it. While that one doesn't mention if it has hardened mineral my other one (it is like the 233LTMN, but with a black face) has only recently gotten its first blemish after two+ years of near constant wear.

The Danish Design also comes in black. There are a few variants of the Timex (1, 2, 3, 4, & 5). The Skagen is on its own on Amazon but they do have a variety of watches with three complication to mimic the look of a chronograph if you like that style.

u/Blze001 · 1 pointr/Watches

Yeah, the Waterbury is a pretty classic look. Personally, I'd suggest the Flyback, but I have a taste for slightly eccentric watches.
