I'm also a hobbyist woodworker - I made my own barbell holder from wood, I made a couple bookcases, and I strongly considered building my own for a time. After seeing a few posts like /u/AccomplishedCoyote's about some of the limitations, I'm glad I didn't. My bars tear up the wood on my bar holder. They always have wood dust in the knurling. So you may want to coat it in something (spray bed liner, plastic sheeting, etc.), which is going to add to the cost.
Something to consider: after you price it out, you might find that the cost of the DIY wood rack is not so different compared to a cheap steel rack, and you can get short versions like this one if the ceiling will be a problem. If you don't want to have to make your own everything (like dip bars) then I'd strongly consider a steel rack. Another option might be a separate pullup bar mounted to the wall plus a squat stand.

Here is one example. It's just under 6 feet. If you ask me, that's a little too short even, but if that's all the room you have to work with, then it's a good option.
Even without the platform, I think you will run into trouble on pullups. That bar is at 80", leaving you five inches to get your head above the bar before hitting the ceiling, or three with your platform. Nah.
Remember that there is a short version of the T2, 71.5" high.
Remember that F=ma so the higher you'll be dropping it, the heavier it lands. I recommend the TDS Short Power Rack or Titan T-2 Series Short Power Rack. You'll have to sit down for OHP and pull your legs behind for pull-ups though.
With these 24" racks you'll still need the room outside of the cage for your lifts. The folding racks aren't made to work inside of it
Could you fit a 48" cage where you would be working inside of it?

This titan is less than 72" tall and comes with safety rods. This is a good option for someone working out alone.
So I'm looking at a CAP power rack for my girlfriend because she's weaker than me, and a Titan series short rack for myself. She'll be fine with a 300 lb limit for a while, but if want a 600 lb for myself. Are these the best two for the price at our weight requirements?
Sadly, the manufacturer of my current rack doesn't make safety bars for it, and the hole spacing is abnormal, so off-brand accessories are also not an option.
I have been bouncing back and forth between:
