I generally prefer to keep my iPad thin and light while using it. So I am a big fan of running a slim case along with a sleeve for added protection while traveling. Tomtoc seems to make quality products, so I tend to recommend them. This sleeve in particular has a dedicated section for the Apple Pencil and enough room for the iPad’s cord and charger.
As far as screen protectors go, I’ve seen limited options that properly accommodate Face ID. I’m currently considering this one on Amazon from amFilm (https://www.amazon.com/amFilm-Protector-Tempered-Compatible-Rounded/dp/B07GVN143H/ref=mp_s_a_1_15?ie=UTF8&qid=1542215571&sr=8-15&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=ipad+pro+11+screen+protector). Their newest update to the product appears to address the prior issues with Face ID, by cutting out that area of the protector.

I have this tomtoc and I really love it. I keep it inside a Tom Bihn Synapse 25 backpack along with a MacBook Pro 15 and some other gear. The bumpers in the bottom have saved me from less-than-gentle set-downs on a few occasions. I’m sure tomtoc’s other products are great too.
