Thank you! Should I buy my own router and rent their modem? I'm asking because the wifi in built in routers/modems they supply is usually horrible.

As a second question, is a router limited by the modem it's connected to? If combo units aren't recommended, I may just spring for a C7 router. However, will my older N300 modem limit the newer C7's capabilities if I just use the N300 as a modem (turn off router functions)?
