As the other people have said anemia could be the culprit, iron deficient or other. The other thing that immediately comes to mind is some deficiency in your mitochondria. It could be a hereditary deficiency somewhere in the chemical chain or if it is a more minor one you might want to try pounding a bunch of antioxidents (tons of brightly colored fruits/veggies or a powder like this) for several days and see whether that helps your mitochondria out enough to decrease your mood swings.
