Velour pads or anything made out of a cloth fabric will unfortunately weaken the bass. I personally recommend getting vinyl leather or sheepskin leather, both of which I have tried on my personal set of V6s, they produce similar sound signature and are comfortable. Tranesca on Amazon and these Auray sheepskin leather earpads are both excellent.

The stock pads don't seem that comfortable.
I got these for my Arctis 7 and they work great. I had the same complaint and these are a bit deeper than the ones they come with. They say they fit the 800/Wireless H.
edit: If you click through the customer images there's one with them on an 800, so you should be good with those, man. They're leather, not that fabric/foam so your ears will be a bit warmer in them, but I've had mine on for a whole day at a time and not had an issue. Also, not a big deal but just so you know before you buy, they have a taper to them. In that first image how the back can be seen from the front, they're exactly like that
