Amazon reviews are shady as hell. The £30 Chinese dashcams are not a good purchase if you're looking for something as reliable as a dashcam needs to be.

I bought this for ~£80 (on eBay) and it's a quality bit of kit. A 32GB memory card is recommended.

Honestly, don't get a cheap Chinese dashcam. They all run the exact same crappy software too.

Here's the dashcam that I have in mine. Simple to setup and easy to use, just make sure to buy the suction cup mount.

I have this: Transcend Pro 200 along with the MOUNT and have used it for a few weeks now. It wasn't too expensive and the best part about it to me is that it doesn't have a battery that can get messed up by the heat or cold that summer and winter could inundate it with.

I have it in the middle of my windshield and it picks up in day and night pretty well. There are a bunch of videos on youtube about it. It auto loops and comes with a micro memory card so it is plug and play. I had mine set up and running in 5 minutes.

If anyone has any questions about it I can answer them.

I don't work for them, lol.

I have this one

Its pricey but highly recommended and universally liked. Failing that just go on amazon and search highest rated driving recorders and read some reviews. Plenty of top 5 lists for them out there.

I feed the wire so it fits in the trimming of my car down to my car lighter plug and barely notice it, after a minute of driving the screen goes black and it records in the background. It detects the sound of the engine to start or you can get others that record automatically if they detect movement.

Yeah dashcam selection is pretty daunting. It feels like there's hundreds of options but only a handful that are quality products.

I got one recently and it's excellent. Transcend Drivepro 200. Transcend is a Taiwanese company that's better known for making SD cards. I think this camera is the highest rated dashcam on Amazon. For $100 you get 1080p and all the features you'd want.

I got this for Christmas:

Probably won't be as clear as a GoPro, but it does record in 720p and 1080p. I have it running all the time, and I have it set to continuously record three-minute-long files. Once the card fills up, it records over the oldest file.

There is an emergency mode that you can either initiate manually by pressing a button, or it will automatically engage if there is a bump or jostle or sharp change in speed, and the current video file will be locked and can only be deleted manually.

For a few dollars more, you can get a version that has wifi capabilities that will allow you to transfer video files to your phone:

I should've asked for that one, but so far I'm pleased with the product I have.

I do. Touch wood, never had to use it.

However, I was a claims investigator for ten years and the evidence these things provide is invaluable. Whereas a lot of claims used to be one word against the other, now we have absolute proof one way or another.

It works two ways though; if you drive like a twat and get in an incident, it may be used against you!

I've tried a few and this is my current one, by far the best quality I have had, especially at night - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Transcend-DrivePro-Video-Recorder-Built-/dp/B00GRYT5QI/ref=sr_1_7?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1453021221&sr=1-7&keywords=dash+cam

Se om du kan rigga upp något sånt här på mopeden, kanske finns bättre varianter för just mopeder. Vet ej.
