Twinbird makes pretty decent quality stuff.

Whatever you get, I recommend you get a simple on-off type, not a digital one. Then you have the option of making a sous-vide controller later.

I live in Japan and here's the slow cooker I use: https://www.amazon.co.jp/ツインバード工業-TWINBIRD-EP-4717BR-ツインバード-スロークッカー/dp/B009JXQWR4/ref=sr_1_41?srs=2808478051&ie=UTF8&qid=1522201091&sr=8-41

It works great (as in, it does what a slow cooker's supposed to do). It's only about 3 quarts (3 liters), but it (and a few similar models also sold by Twinbird) are just about the only slow cookers I've found produced for the domestic market and local electricity needs. Everything else is a parallel import that'll require a transformer to work properly. Anyway, that Twinbird one's not very expensive, so I recommend switching to it. If it's not big enough, youcould always buy two and use them both at once.

Got this baby on amazon.jp a few months back. Can't beat the price and it's worked great so far. It's not huge, but makes a good few servings. Enough for meals for a couple days or a good big dinner for family or friends. I'd recommend it.
