Or even just regular pens! Med students and residents seem to love this kind of pen, though my personal favorite is this kind, which has ultra fine points.

I've spent a lot of time on JetPens learning about the different brands.

My personal favorites:
As far as fountain pens, I like the Pilot Kakuno. I like the design, they write nicely, and are pretty cheap.

If you have are interested in erasable pens (highlighters, markers), I recommend Pilot Frixion. There are a ton of options.

Are you perhaps an engineer or architect? That printing is what my professors wanted mine to be, and it just never happened.
